Convenient Downtown spot
Hotel is in a convenient location, walking distance to most downtown attractions. A couple blocks from the convention center. Close to shopping and restaurants. Union station is a few blocks away making it easy to get to from the airport. Room was simple but clean. There was an issue with the door to the bathroom and the front desk had it taken care of immediately. Overall great stay. We didn’t have a car to park but noticed there are many lots surrounding the hotel that seemed much cheaper than the hotel’s daily parking rate.

Don’t stay here
Worst hotel experience. There are ZERO amenities: no drinkable water in room, had to go downstairs and buy a bottle of water. Had to pay for coffee. The hotel room itself: bathroom was dirty, door to bathroom didn’t close, my window outside looked directly into other hotel rooms AND I could see what people were doing. (Maybe tint these windows!)

Would NOT HONOR THE RESERVATION!

Hi Sharon, We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused while our property the Aloft Denver Downtown has been Temporarily CLOSED since April 2020. Unfortunately this is why we were unable to honor your reservation. All reservations that are effected have been sent notice of cancellation with a minimum of 30 days prior, we do typically like to send those out well before the 90 day mark. I encourage you to reach out to Expedia and update your information if you did not receive that notice before your reservation date. Safe travels and hope to see you when we are able to re-open our doors to the public.

The hallway’s interior finish is too dark for my taste. The TV is mounted too high, glare from the room lighting was noticeable across the top of the screen. The TV remote’s button took multiple presses to get TV too respond. Got a little tedious.

Everything is well-thought out - the things you don't need in regular hotels are absent (e.g. a microwave in every room), but other amenities hotels normally don't have create a communal atmosphere (the lobby/bar area and pool table). I also really like the position of the bed across the window, which gives your whole room a great view.

Our view was a garage wall. Room was so dark. Shower was horrible. Water just ran down the slanted tile and the whole bathroom floor got soaked every time. We had to mop floor after showers with our towels. No HOOKS anywhere. Couldn’t even hang a wet towel. Aloft I think you think your hip and cool but hip and cool people need better accommodations. Very disappointing hotel.
