We booked accommodation for 3 adults, however on arrival were told that the room we'd been allocated was "not suitable for 3 adults". Despite repeatedly explaining that we'd booked for 3 adults, and that if the room wasn't suitable then we should have been told before driving 5 hours to get there, the proprietor didn't offer anything in the way of alternative.
After offering to pay more for the room (it was late and we weren't going to be able to find an alternative), the "unsuitable" room magically became suitable, which was a relief but at the same time left very bitter taste in the mouth.
The hotel itself is a basic B&B, despite the name, and was clean if rather tired and dated. Breakfast was entirely passable, and it was about a 15 minute walk to the seafront, and a further 10 minutes into the town centre.
Had we not had the issues on arrival, it wouldn't have been so bad, but the overall experience was brought down significantly by that, and the fact that we'd been given no option but to line the owner's pockets to avoid sleeping on the street.
