Nice weekend
Great location, lovely front decking area in the sun with sea views. Old fashioned style hotel. Breakfast was good though used cheap bread for toast. Lovely room overlookkng the gardens, though the shower was compacr for.larger persons and shower lacked power on 3rd floor.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in outside of London. The room was very clean, decor of the hotel very pleasant, staff attentive and very close to the beach. Breakfast was good and so were the room amenities. Would love to go back.

We had a lovely stay on Saturday. Very friendly staff. Great room and view. Comfortable bed. Finished with a delicious hot breakfast on Sunday. We will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was good service was good but disappointed with the tea pot and coffeE pots made of stainless steel and the coffee wasn t nice at all. We travel all around the world in fabulous hotels never experienced this if you want like a good cup of coffee you need to pay .£15 for breakfast terrible indeed .very sad indeed

We’ve stayed many times over the years. The service was excellent, but the food particularly the Salmon Fishcake starter was well below the standard we’d expect.

Amazing sea view, good brekky and comfortable bed.
Beautiful historical hotel going through some renovations. I was lucky enough to stay here on a very reasonable rate I think due to scaffolding and works being carried out on the front of the hotel. Even with the scaffolding the sea view and watch the sun coming up in the morning was just spectacular. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with good local produce cooked well. Hotel had that old world feeling and naturally guests generally seemed of more mature years but a nice overnight stay for business. Only slight criticism was that the workies on the scaffolding were outside my room windows at 8.15am but were not meant to start until 9am. All in all, lovely night's stay and would recommend.

Almost perfect
Wonderful location. Our room was really lovely. Spotlessly clean & with everything you'd need. Super king bed. Staff were professional, friendly & efficient. Only downside was that as the hotel is currently being refurbished externally, scaffolding encases the front facade. Whilst this didn't detract from natural light in our room (we would have had a seaview), we had to keep our curtains drawn from 9am as there were workers on the scaffold directly outside our window. Shame. Perhaps as a gesture the hotel could have offered something, however small, to compensate.

This is a fabulous hotel next to the sea - it couldn’t be better! Spotlessly clean and operating a tight COVID-19 regime to safeguard guests and staff. Staff are very friendly and accommodation and the food in the restaurant is excellent! We will definitely be back!

Lovely
We had a very comfortable stay, the staff were excellent t and our room was lovely. The food was delicious although we would have loved to eat in the main restaurant and experience the ambience of the grand piano being played but unfortunately we did not realise that a jacket and tie was required to do so. Saying that, the meal was still delicious in the Horizon restaurant and the staff were just as attentive.

It was very clean and we received a friendly welcome. All staff were absolutely fabulous. The only drawback was the Swimming, Sauna & Spa treatments being in the sister hotel Victoria. Also paying additional for a sea view room as sometimes when hotels are not fully booked as a gesture of good will they would upgrade customers due to a low none busy season, but fully appreciate if the hotel was very busy. However, our room was lovely & thank you.

Beautiful hotel with traditional British standards
Only thing I personally think is that they shouldn’t accept children under 12. It is mainly an older clientele who have paid a considerable amount of money and dont need badly behaved screaming children in the dining rooms. It is not really for families and they should consider this

Beautifully presented hotel in a good location and use of sister hotel facilities was very welcome and plentiful. We only had room service from the a la Carte menu and I found the lamb main disappointing and over priced. We also felt £18 per person for breakfast was over price so elected to go to the local cafe instead.

Top class hotel
Amazing service and standards. Food of high standard and very nice. Very nice outdoor pool in the Victoria which it is part of. Staff very friendly.
