While the parking and check-in and -out was easy, the hotel was located in an area of room salons which was a bit of a turn-off. At breakfast, everything was cold (things that should have been hot such as eggs, bacon, etc, etc); the F&B people obviously had no idea...

Very spacious rooms, reasonably quiet and helpful staff but the carpets showed signs of age and there were chips on the furniture that a felt pen from a hardware store could have hidden. The wardrobe was huge but offered too few hangers.

Donghae - beach and trekking
Hotel was in a good location - not too far away from the shopping and transport readily available for movement to tourist areas. Decent food joints around the vicinity and fairly good range of western foods. Donghae has good local flavor and is not too far away from the beaches and local sights

Perfect stay
Very comfortable, modern hotel, just off the main street downtown. Plenty of parking and lots of restaurants etc in the doorstep. Wish we had had line to spend in Donghae!

Satisfied stay comparing to the price, especially comparing to the other recently-opened hotels in East sea area. The hotel seems to be opened recently as well. The facility is good and clean. But don't expect nice East sea view. It's not much far from the beach, but there is a tall apartment in the middle. The area around the hotel is adult entertainment district. So if you plan a family trip with children, you need to consider it.

Probably the best hotel in the area
It started out poorly. I messaged the hotel about our visit and they responded in a very curt manner. We were booked for their most expensive room. They didn't respond until 10 hours before our arrival. This is why they are a three-star hotel. I don't expect much from a 3-star, but at 5-star prices, they better deliver. I've paid less in Times Square, NYC. The staff was amazing. No complaints at all. The way we were treated prior to our arrival was horrendous. Three stars for sure. The interior of our "VIP" room was ... "fine". Living room, bedroom, bathroom. They arranged a special welcome kit for us because I let them know what occasion it was. That was nice and very welcoming - especially for a three-star. The wallpaper had some wear and tear and clear signs of things being in need of consideration. On our way out, we saw some of the other rooms. Ondol and Sea-view were literally half and big. Overall, great friendly staff. No complaints at all. The communication prior to arrival though, was not good at all.

Hotel is close to shops eateries and beach.
This hotel is probably no different to other properties in donghae. It was a difficult stay to say the least . The beds were so hard we were awake half the night the pillows were rock hard we complained the next day but had to wait for the 3pm person to start who spoke English lol they rectified this problem we had to sleep on a spare duvet on top of the sheet. On checkout I asked for my receipt and was informed that Expedia charge me and they don’t give receipts. Which I think is probably against fair trading laws not too. Overall they were nice enough people but still learning the property was very clean

Comfortable & spacious hotel room a short taxi ride to Donghae bus and train stations. Restaurants nearby. Very comfortable bed and English TV Channels. Only negative is that you can't change heating or cooling cycle on the air conditioning. Only stayed 1 night so did not use restaurant or cafe.

The hotel is very clean, and good; however the service level of people who are working at the hotel are NOT what you expect from this size of the hotel. It's very disappointment because everything else is so good.

Lovely hotel, clean room and easy accessible by car with sufficient parking space. Absolutely nothing to complain about and based on other hotels we've been to in South Korea it is great value for money.

동해 종합터미널 근처 가까이 있어서 예약했는데, 생각보다 훨씬 좋았습니다. 방도 넓고, 욕실도 엄청 크구요. 침구도 깨끗했어요. 조식도 먹을만합니다. 아쉬운 부분은 주변이 약간 유흥가라는점, 밤에 갈곳이 많이 없다는 점이긴 하지만 조금만 내려가면 한섬해변이 있어서 힐링하고 왔습니다. 호텔 자체는 강추입니다.

동해시의 중심에 위치해서 어디로나 이동하기 편리하고, 천곡 황금박쥐 동굴과 한섬해변에 걸어갈 수 있어요. 호텔 객실과 복도 모두 따뜻해서 좋았고, 침구도 포근해서 편히 잘 수 있었어요. 이틀 묵으면서 조식을 먹었는데 매일 조식 구성이 제법 달라지고 예를 들어 빵 종류도 호밀빵, 식빵, 크루아상 등이 있고 샐러드 소스도 3종류가 갖춰저 있는 등 조식 구성에 신경을 많이 쓰고 있다는 인상을 받았어요. 제가 지금껏 유사한 급의 관광호텔에서 맛본 조식 중에선 구성과 품질에 가장 신경을 많이 쓰고 있다고 여겨졌어요. 다른 도시를 여행할 때 리셉션에 주변 관광지에 대한 정보를 문의해도 모른다고 하는 경우가 종종 있었는데 현진관광호텔에서는 주위 지도까지 준비해서 안내해주는 모습 또한 좋았습니다. 다만 화장실 문이 불투명 유리로 되어 있어서 안에 있는 사람의 실루엣이 흐릿하게 보여 다소 민망할 수 있어요. 그러나 장점을 많이 갖춘 호텔이어서 2월에 동해로 다시 여행갈 때 이 호텔에 다시 묵으려고 해요. 편히 잘 지내다 왔습니다.

거의 매년 이용 했으나 최고 숙박 시설에서 불편, 전망은 최고, 조식은 굿
최고의 숙박시설에 구석먼지가 관리상 아쉬움이고 샤워기 물의 일정치 않음이 불편함입니다. 그리고 가장큰 불편은 매우 건조해서 큰 샤워 타올 세개를 물에 적셔 바닥에 깔아 지냈습니다. 다만 전망은 최고, 조식은 굿입니다.
