Ancienne maison de village joliment restaurée avec vue sur l’abbaye cistercienne de Cadouin, inscrite au patrimoine de l’Unesco. Très bon confort des chambres et jolies salles de bain. Cuisine à disposition des voyageurs. Petit-déjeuner pantagruélique. Qualité/prix imbattable.

Wonderful stay!
We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful place in Cadouin. The hosts were very friendly and generous and the hotel is very well situated with a fantastic view of the Abbey.

Picture perfect!
Absolutely charming four room inn situated in one of the prettiest towns! Couple who run it are super friendly, welcoming and quite charming. We got the room facing the Abbey - view from the window was postcard-pretty. Good sized room with a big comfy bed with great linens, chic boutique bathroom. Theyhave done. Great job! NOTE one room is on level with breakfast room (one flight up from street) other three rooms were two flights up. Hosts help with luggage, too. Breakfast room & lounge are comfortable - they have lots of tourism info to leaf through. Breakfast was excellent charcuterie, cheeses, baked goods (don't miss their home made cakes with fruit from their farm!) Yoghurt (variety including my first try of goat youghurt - wow), juice, coffee, tea. We wanted to book a second night but they were full! For a tiny village (but important tourist stop) the town has plenty of restaurants, the owners of the hotel run a wonderful local produce shop downstairs and their is a boulangerie. Great stay!

Beautiful location with views across the market square to the ancient abbey. Comfortable room with everything we needed including good shower and double sink. Very friendly hosts and very entertaining over breakfast; with good advice for areas to visit. We did not want to leave each morning! The breakfast are HUGE with a great selection of victuals.

Petite escale de rêve à Cadouin en Dordogne
Située sur la place de la (très ancienne) halle et face à la magnifique abbaye cistercienne non moins ancienne, nous avons passé une nuit très agréable dans une également ancienne maison rénovée et aménagée avec goût. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très accueillants. Petit déjeuner pantagruélique avec gâteau aux noix fait par la "patronne". Vraiment très belle adresse.

Accueil et hébergement tip top
Visite professionnelle dans la région. Super accueil hors saison. Village magnifique. Chambre donnant sur une vue magnifique (abbaye, hall, place, jardins) Dommage que les restaurants ne soient pas ouverts à cette période ce qui impose de se déplacer dans les villages voisins. J'espère avoir le plaisir d'y retourner peut être aux beaux jours.

agréable étape à Cadouin face à l'abbaye
Très agréable étape à Cadouin dans cette maison d'hôtes entièrement restaurée. Notre chambre donnait sur l'abbaye et ses vitraux éclairés; c'était magnifique. Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires qui nous ont servis un copieux et délicieux petit déjeuner, gâteau aux noix maison. Ils tiennent tout à coté une boutique de produits de terroir. Le village est très calme et l'étape est à recommander.

Muy agradable y satisfactorio.

hard to find at first- but so worth it
Friendly and helpful beyond expectation. Room was lovely, large breakfast (more than i wanted!). But our hosts behaved as friends. we will return.

Best Stay In France
Wonderful stay. The 800 yr old structure had been beautifully renovated by the husband and wife owners who also helped us plan our itinerary. The included breakfast was excellent; especially the homemade walnut bread. We were made to feel at home. Very quiet. Large walk in shower. Strong Wi Fi. Comfortable bed.

The perfect hotel!
Our stay at Les Songes de l'Abbaye was really amazing our hosts made us feel like part of their family and we felt that we had become friends. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel from the point of view of location, comfort, very caring hosts and excellent breakfast, if you are in the area don't look anywhere else!

Very nice hotel in the abbey square
An excellent welcome is given by the Rashid and Emmanuelle who do everything to make your stay pleasant along with good humour. We would love to return and would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Beautiful organic breakfasts and a beautiful room to stay in with large separate bathroom

A hidden gem
This was our second stay here and our expectations were fully met. The accomodation is fantastic, with high quality rooms that are all individually and tastefully decorated. The owners just want to male your stay a memorable one and once again we had such a good time. And the breakfast ......... it will keep you going all day, is mostly locally grown and is delicious. Cadouin is small but we didn't go anywhere as it is such a great place to relax. The resturant in the square is just perfect for simple food for lunch and supper, and whilst we were there there was entertainment and an evening food market. Overall a perfect place to stay for a few days. We will definitely be returning again.

Nice location
The houstal (hotel) is placed in a quaint village with lovely period buildings. It's like a very small hamlet except its full of history (Monastic as it has a Monastery that has been reused as a hostel). Its perfect for those seeking peace and quiet and a really good place to wind down.

Home from Home in beautiful Cadouin
Beautiful little B&B with amazing owners who will make you feel right at home. The breakfast is a pleasure with all local and organic produce. The owners are so friendly and helpful and will help you plan your day with advice and information. The rooms are well equipped and our view of the Abbey was amazing.

Beautiful small hotel in a tiny village
Beautiful small hotel in a very tiny village. Room as well as the common areas of the hotel very nicely decorated. Possibility to make coffee etc. in the public areas. Very good breakfast with the local products. Friendly owners. The village was almost too quiet at least out of tourist season.

Great B&B in great location.
Nice room with good view of the Abbey (especially at night when floodlight), very comfortable. Breakfast was great and plentiful with good selection of locally sourced fruit, cheeses, yoghurts etc. Hosts, absolutely lovely - overall great stay, will definitely return.

Our hosts were amazing. They went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible, every morning's breakfast held something special. They picked fresh strawberries and cherries from their garden every morning and we got to sample their goat's milk yoghurt and cheeses and had fresh eggs from their hens every morning. Including an omelette made with their asparagus.

Wedding in the dordogne
We stayed at this hotel for my nieces three day wedding taking place at Le Chateau la Bourlie. The owners were delightful and we will definitely come and stay here again. The area is wonderful with wonderful chateaus to visit. Beautiful buildings and countryside.

Beautiful room and village
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was with all the other guests around a big table. It was great with good conversation and lovely organic food and juice.

En voyage d'agrément en Dordogne, nous avons trouvé un accueil très sympathique, une chambre très accueillante, aménagée avec goût, une literie très confortable, une salle d'eau propre et fonctionnelle. La salle commune aux 4 chambres est une bonne idée témoignant d'une réelle volonté d'hospitalité; on peut s'y désaltérer ou encore y consulter des guides, y jouer au scrabble ou encore regarder la télé sur un grand écran. La vue sur l'abbaye et la place du village est top. Nous recommandons ce lieu sans hésitation

Perfect room with a10+ Host
Although this B &B is a bit remote, you couldn't ask for more comfortable room or accommodating host. Absolutely lovely decor, huge bathroom, wonderful view in peaceful setting. We arrived on Monday evening and nothing was open but out host found us a wonderful reservation at a quaint restaurant. We had to leave earlier than expected and she scrambled to make us a great breakfast. And her Newfoundland pup was equally as sweet. This one is not to be missed.

Spotlessly clean and pleasantly decorated.
What a pleasant surprise to find this beautiful hotel in the Dordogne region. It is located in the small village of Cadouin. The room was spotlessly clean and decorated in a modern french style. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast were fresh and there was a good supply of organic produce available. There are a few good restaurants close by.
