We spotted the small dots on the top corner of the ceiling in the bathroom during cleaning after you checked out, no doubt a result of the extractor fan malfunctioning at some point during your stay. The small job of replacing the fan and treating and painting the bathroom walls and ceiling was all done that very same day. We are only sorry that we weren't aware during your stay that the fan had ceased, as we would have happily and immediately fixed it. Good day Mr Smyth. We always thank our guests for taking the time to offer us their valuable feedback (positive and negative) so that we may continue to find new ways to improve on the excellent service we offer our guests. However in this instance we cannot help but feel utterly saddened and confused at the lack of honesty in your review and how you have misrepresented your stay to other potential guests who may read this. We can only hope that any future guests reading this will also see that we have consistently impeccable reviews across all of our review sites and understand that your review is not at all accurately reflective of your stay with us. For the sake of any future guests reading your review, I would love to address the statements you have made. Upon your arrival you were extremely discourteous toward us and very angry that we do not have our own free parking. This is clearly stated on all our booking sites . We maintain an extremely high standard of cleanliness, as every review left by our guests on Trip Advisor and our third party booking sites will attest to and we have complete confidence in our high standards. We do indeed serve a wonderful vegetarian continental buffet-style breakfast in the mornings, compromising of freshly baked pastries, cheeses, cereals, yogurts, bread/toast, porridge, fresh fruit, juices and hot beverages (we can also cater to coeliacs and vegans too). Our breakfasts are extremely popular with our guests and receive high praise across our reviews. We do not serve a cooked breakfast, which is stated on all our booking sites. We are unsure as to why you would say that you could not control the temperature in your room; Each room has a radiator and a towel warmer and as with all radiators and towel warmers, there is a thermostat attached that enables you to have complete control of the temperature. We also point this out to each of our guests when we show them their room, just as it was pointed out to you. The bathrooms are immaculate and we are meticulously detailed in our cleaning regimen here - our stellar reputation is built and relies on this and we can stand by this as we do all in house cleaning personally to ensure our consistent, pristine standard is adhered to. The shower was not clogged for the previous guest who departed the morning of the day you arrived, nor was it when we cleaned the shower drain (which is done daily) before your arrival and so if you had found that during your use of the shower it was not draining correctly, we certainly would have been grateful if you had brought this to our attention at the time as we could have rectified the problem immediately. Luckily we discovered the problem upon cleaning the room after your departure and we were able to fix it easily. The mattress in the room you stayed doesn't need 'replacing' as you stated. We understand that different people prefer different mattresses and so, again, if you had let us know during your stay that you did not find
