As ever, exemplary service from the lovely John and Patricia. The Loft is our home from home and the welcome and hospitality always makes you feel like you are coning home, or that you are staying with old friends. Spectacular views, comfortable surroundings, and good people make for an ideal break by the sea.

We received a very warm welcome from the owners on arrival. Our room was spacious, warm and well appointed. Plenty of hot water and clean white towels for our en-suite bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities included in our room. We enjoyed sitting in the sun room in the evenings with views of the garden and mountain. Forest trails are walkable from the house. A car is needed if touring mountains of Mourne or further afield. A lovely week in February.

We had a great time, it's a super, airy, comfortable space for a short stay. The owners could not be more welcoming, and the cakes left for our arrival were very tasty. We were also able to see several Fallow deer and a Barn Owl which were a bonus. Thank you

Patricia and John were wonderful gracious hosts. breakfast was delicious with the added bonus of freshly baked brownies, break rolls each morning, as well as freshly squeezed orange juice. the property was perfectly located literally at the base of the Mourne Mountains. perfect for hiking right from the property. the room had the most picturesque view of their flowering garden and mountain. its a 3 minute drive to shops, restaurants, the beach, and a 8 minute drive to the dunes. perfect location. we loved staying here and would stay again if we found our way back to Newcastle.

Patricia & John are warm & very friendly hosts. I stayed as I had a funeral in the area for 2 nights. Patricia went above and beyond to help me with very early wake up calls & the breakfast I had was genuinely superb. If I come back I would definitely stay there again. The room was lovely and had an amazing view of the mountains of Mourne. If only they could have sorted the weather!

Amazing stay in the Loft.
An excellent stay at Cherry Hill lodge in their studio. A warm welcome with some scones and a piece of lemon drizzle cake. The place is warm and cozy with a fantastic view of the Mournes. We will be back!

Amazing B&B a must stay!!!
The best accommodation of our whole trip, just outstanding!!! Beautiful setting, comfortable/clean room, great breakfast, fantastic hosts. The garden out back was super, we were in the garden room and the view was just superb, as was the view from the breakfast room and I'm sure probably the other guest rooms as well. The owners were so nice made our stay extra special. The property is about a mile from town but we enjoy walking so this was no problem for us

Storms in Newcastle
Our hosts where interesting and very welcoming. Excellent rooms and views. Well stocked reference library and a really good base to visit Newry and Mourne. We had deep snow and strong winds but really enjoyed ouir time away

Cherryhill lodge newcastle.
Cherryhill is excellent, very clean and cosy. Great views of mountains, about 20-25 minute walk to town, but you can cut through tipperary lane thats a nice walk. Breakfast was brilliant nice rooms and very comfy beds.

Where else to go for your honeymoon than The Loft at Cherryhill Lodge?! We really love this place, hence we chose to return. It's ideally located for exploring the beautiful Mourne area. Relaxing hideaway
This is the 3rd or 4th time I've visited Cherryhill Lodge and I hope to keep returning. At the foothills of the mournes and overlooking the forest, you will feel instantly relaxed as you arrive. Patricia and John are wonderful hosts, the gardens are beautiful and everything is modern and pristine.

Fabulous stay at Cherryhill
Fabulous stay in The Loft apartment. Besutifully furnidhed and equipped - there was even milk and cake left for us on arrival. The breakfast was amazing, included freshly cooked scones as well as anything you could think of. The owners were so friendly - will definitely be booking again!

A lovely break!
We had a lovely stay at Cherryhill, the room was so comfortable and the view is just amazing! Also the homemade breakfast with bread and scones was delicious.

Top of the Class
What a superb place! It took a little finding but you could not fault it. The owners were lovely and everything was first-class. If you want a lovely venue in a lovely town, then this is the place.

From the second we arrived, we were made to feel so very welcome. The house and loft we’re beautiful, made even better by Patricia and John, who are wonderful people. As the other reviews have mentioned, the homemade breakfast was amazing, and I loved the homemade scones... perfect! The first day we arrived it was raining, but in the backdrop from our decking area, we could make out the panoramic views of the mountains and as the sky cleared, the view was beautiful. I highly recommend staying here and I hope to be back again as soon as possible.

The views to the rear of the property were amazing.The property itself is in a very clean condition. The gardens are well tended and a joy to walk in. The proprietors are very professional in the way they deal with guests, i.e. very friendly and helpful in all matters. NOTHING is too much for them to help their guests in all matters. The food is of excellent quality, well cooked and presented and a very varied menu is presented. this BB made my weekend a most enjoyable one.

A wonderful setting with a bedroom overlooking the Mourne Mountains. We appreciated the home baking. A bit pricey on value for money though.

One night stay for two adults and a baby.
Wonderful place to stay in terms of location and facilities. The owners were a delight. Full of helpful information and the homemade breakfast was perfect.

Nice, clean and homely hotel
I loved this hotel and would stay again. The gentleman and lady who own it are so lovely and are very catering, they made us breakfast every morning and even took us into town one day to avoid us getting a taxi. The hotel is very clean, we stayed in the garden room and it has a lovely view. Also had nice touches in the room such as cake to eat with tea/coffee, decent shampoo and conditioner, shower was nice and powerful and also a good hair dryer unlike the little ones you usually get that takes ages to dry your hair.

Beautiful scenery in the foot of the mountains
Beautiful home with fantastic hosts who keep the entire property immaculate. Breakfast was delicious and the scenery was to die for.. the garden here is just beautiful and the view of the mountains is something else. Only sorry I was just staying one night. Ensuite and bedroom was superb

Wonderrful
Our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. It was the best b&b we have stayed in so far on our drive through Ireland. The owners were lovely and kind and the entire house is new, clean and enjoyable including the gardens. The mountains of mourne were right outside our bedroom, the garden room, window.

Highly recommend this B&B owned by John and Patricia. Beautiful home and grounds. Patricia and John are very welcoming and put out a lovely Irish Breakfast for you in the morning. Would return in a heartbeat.

So special!
Really couldn't have been better. Arrived late, in the dark, in a huge storm but Patricia could not have been a more welcoming host. Lovely, contemporary but warm surroundings and I settled into the Garden Room which came complete with the added bonus of homemade cupcakes. In the morning I opened my blind onto the most glorious view. Breakfast was offered as early as I needed and this was delivered by John (I'm guessing made by Patricia!) who made time to explain the history of the place; freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit and yogurt, Eggs Benedict on soda bread, home made scone and soda bread roll with jam and marmalade, toast and tea. If only I could have stayed longer! Patricia directed me to the sea front so I could make a quick trip on my way to work and I said goodbye with a heavy heart. Planning to go back on my hols so I can share this special place with my other half. In the meantime, thanks so much!

Très jolie maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le petit déjeuner est élaboré avec des produits frais. Les propriétaires sont adorables et mettent tout en oeuvre pour rendre service. Le jardin est très bien entretenu et magnifique avec une jolie vue sur les mournes mountains.
