The main hotel is in an ancient building that uses the old features well - with a nice bar, restaurants and function rooms. The bedrooms are across the road, by the picturesque canal and are very spacious, modern with lots of wooden beams - there is a bath and shower in the room. My room 11 was right by the water with views up and down the canal. The bed was very comfortable.
The staff were all very friendly, especially the bar/waitresses. We had the Euro29 - 3 course menu and just let the chefs send what they were cooking - it was superb with Carpaccio with truffle mayonnaise to start, lamb cutlet and roasted vegetables and a wonderful multiple piece dessert with fresh raspberry, meringue, mousse etc etc. Nice buffet breakfast too.
