Ne pas y aller.
Le seul et unique point positif était la propreté. Lors de notre arrivée les employés à la réception ont essayé de nous faire payer une deuxième fois! L'état général de l'hôtel ne correspond pas du tout aux photos. La peinture de l'un des murs de la chambre, ainsi que celle du plafond, s'écaillait. Le lit était hors d'usage. Le rideau de la fenêtre était déchiré. La robinetterie du lavabo était clairement endommagée et fuyait. L'isolation phonique de l'hôtel est tout simplement inexistante. On entend absolument tout! Les fenêtres sont vétustes: il n'y avait aucune différence entre "fenêtre ouverte" ou "fenêtre fermée", aussi bien du point de vue sonore que thermique (froid + courants d'air).

Great location. Old property but very clean. Room was very clean, towels replaced daily. I did not like there was no lock or chain lock on room door and on a few days housekeeping just walked right in without knocking or announcing entry; one of which I was in the shower. Reception staff was generally friendly. Microwave, utensils and napkins provided in lobby were helpful.

I was disappointed with my stay in this place. The reception team are great and friendly. The location of the hotel is great with close accessibility to O’Connel Street and easy access to trams, buses and all major Dublin City centre attractions. However the room, cleanliness of the room and amenities are all sub standard and over priced. It shocked me that the chair in the room didn’t have a backrest support. While the cleaners do the basic task of hoovering and general cleaning, I really feel they could have done much better. A note to all fellow travellers is that if cost is the main concern for you then this hotel is good. But if you are looking for comfort then look elsewhere as there are plenty of other better hotels in the vicinity of this hotel.

It served the purpose!
Excellent location near Busaras bus station where you can travel on the followind day etc. The room was warm with tea making facilites so perfect for us. Would highly recommend for the low price

The place is quiet plesent the staff are friendly my only problem was the light switch was inside the door and there was no bedside lamp so the room was dark when finding the bed

After reading the reviews and finding out about the amount of stairs and NO lift I decided not to stay there. I was also informed after I had booked that there was no breakfast but No discount on price. I went to The Gresham instead . Much the same price with breakfast and lifts .

I've stayed in most of the hotels in Gardiner Street in my time and so know what to expect. This one however was a pleasant surprise as it is cleaner, better maintained and generally feels more like a hotel than the others in the street while still offering the convenience of a central location that the area offers. Good stuff, I would gladly stay again.

The staff in the hotel weren't the most friendly and welcoming - best welcome was from another customer who opened the door for us when nobody was on reception. The room itself was fairly clean and well kitted out. The decor is dated and the place could do with some work as it looks little run down. The walls are paper thin and not great if your next door neighbours are loud until the early hours. The location of the hotel/hostel is great; near to the bus station and walking distance to several attractions.

Zimmer waren groß,es wurde jeden Tag sauber gemacht. Sehr kleines Bad,schon in die Jahre gekommen. Leider kein wirklichen Kleiderschrank,sondern ein offenes Regal mit Ablage und Kleiderstange.Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße, war sehr laut.Leider konnte man die Fenster nicht öffnen d.h.man konnte nicht lüften.Wir waren zu dritt. Aber sonst waren wir sehr zufrieden.

More hostel than hotel
Great location and room very clean. There was a hairdryer ,iron and kettle in the room with plenty of tea and coffee. However I didn't realise that it is also a hostel so was a bit noisy at times. Also as I was on my own I didn't feel safe on the street after it got dark

Hotel / hostel conveniently located near central Dublin, very close to main routes to the airport and central bus station. Hotel is fairly basic although room was very spacious, quite noisy as the room looked out over a busy road. Overall good value and friendly staff.

Not as represented on the website. Room was extremely outdated. Windows were old and let draughts in so room was very cold. Carpet was dirty. Noisy.

Stayed for three nights. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean. Short distance away from O'Connell St so in a good location.

The linen was spotless and room functional and spacious. The stairways and lobbies were tired and needed decorating. The reception and service on arrival was very helpful and welcoming.

This place was awful. I would not recommend staying here at all. It was run down, the carpets were filthy, the bed was so uncomfortable, the neighborhood is rough, and I would never stay here again. They make you leave your room keys at the front desk for “security reasons”, but it really just sounded like an excuse to ransack your room. We took all our valuables with us whenever we left. This place was not cheap either, and the value for your money does not even come near to being worth it.
