The hotel was great and so was the room. We thought the service and friendliness from staff was underwhelming. Check- in really let the experience of the Address Connolly down unfortunately, for a service that you pay for one would expect to be treated with a level of respect as we as a couple treat everyone with. We were very disappointed as when we checked in, our card was charged twice, this was not an issue for us as we understood the bank would have to clarify this, the issue was, the individual checking us in on reception brushed the problem off and gave an excuse of a queue behind us. We thought it was a little rude and inconsiderate as we had now been double charged for our one night stay. We were then told we would get a call to our room, which we did not receive. Alongside this, both of the other couples who checked in with us at the same time, with the same individual at the check- in desk, received upgrades to suite rooms and we did not. This was not a problem, just mere principle after we had to deal with an inconvenience. We were left with a double charge and out of money for our stay. We found this quite frustrating unfortunately. We would return again as the hotel was lovely and clean, but the staff was a little let down.
