This is a beautiful property. The decks off the bar, restaurant, and pool are gorgeous and have views of the lake. If you are traveling with a family, there are options for cabins, which looked like they had cooking options. The nature of the area, you either eat here or drive to someplace. The restaurant had great food.

Great stay at the Grand Superior Lodge for a wedding on site. The staff was friendly, and the location on the shores of Lake Superior was beautiful.

Overall good but staff might need some work
Nice location next to Lake Superior. They offer smores packets from the front desk and there are nice trails from the property. Also, some fun lawn games in the front. Overall a decent place but I was disappointed at the front desk staff's inflexiblity. We stayed there during a weekday and had requested a slightly delayed checkout and after much humming and hawing they pushed it to 11.30. Later I saw people checking out at 12/12.30 and I felt really let down especially since there were barely any new guests checking and the parking lot was empty. A small concession could have gone a big way here!

Awesome Stay
A very nice place to stay, awesome view of lake superior from the room and it was nice to have a restaurant right in the lodge. Will be definitely booking another trip there.

Thought it was a beautiful property, with gorgeous fall colors all around. Really nice restaurant, with very good food. Wasn't a fan of the dry sauna, it never really got hot. Only minor complaint would be the people next to us had dogs and would bark every time we opened and closed our door...Beautiful place though, probably be back.

Gorgeous Accommodations
The Grand Superior Lodge was beautiful! We stayed 3 nights in October and the lodge did not disappoint! Our king lakeview suite had an amazing view and the sounds of the water on the rocks was so relaxing. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant Saturday night and had a delicious meal and amazing service. There was only one waitress in the area we were seated in, but she did a great job of checking in with us and meeting our needs. The grounds around the lodge were gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around by the lake. I highly recommend Grand Superior Lodge to others visiting the area.

Our visit was pretty good. Two areas for improvement. 1) there was blood or something that appeared to be blood on the wall near the floor in the bathroom and also in the tile in the bathroom. 2) dining options very limited due to staffing. Employees did the best they could to meet customers need but very short staffed.

I used Expedia‘s filter to say pet friendly, and found grand superior lodge. Unfortunately, the lodge is not pet friendly the privately owned homes that go for $500 a night which weren’t available are pet friendly. My dog had to sleep in the vehicle with the temperature getting down in the 30s for two nights. We tried to stay away from the lodge as much as possible as the dog had to stay in the vehicle the whole time we were at the lodge. So very disappointed And, frustrated with the money we spent not till our dog in the lodge.

We were very disappointed when we were told when we checked in that the resteraunt was open until 8 and when we went at 7:25 and were fine with take out if it was busy but they told us they couldn't even do take out and we had to drive into Two Harbours and find something to eat. Also there was no chairs on the beach at our condo.

The location on the lake and the room itself were nice. Yet the experience fell short. At dinner, the dining room was short staffed and enforcing a waiting list even though the room was half empty. The dining room did not open for breakfast at all due to some sort of technical issue, so we had to leave the lodge to hunt for breakfast elsewhere. There was a party in the basement of the lodge, so instead of a quiet evening on our balcony we had the constant thump of music; guests in the main lodge should be given alternative options if there is to be a party with music right below their room.

We loved the room. It had great views of Lake Superior. It was cozy with gas fireplace, jacuzzi hot tub and small kitchenette. The sunrise over the lake is an awesome view.

It was a beautiful setting. The two young men registering people were exceptional.The grounds smelled of sewage and could not sit by the lake as their were no benches for people without a cabin.. the dining room service was not good at all. Bar did not know how to mix an old fashion.

This is a beautiful lodge to stay at . The only suggestion I have is that each room could use at least 1-2 luggage racks.

Great location for a north shore adventure; kids liked the pool. Nice grounds with bonus outdoor activities if the weather behaves. Didn't like that housekeeping didn't come after night one, needed extra towels and toiletries. Popular Restaurant across the street was short staffed and stopped taking names for the waitlist. Had dinner at the hotel grill instead and it unfortunately was the same situation. Short staffed and took a very long time for food. The staff handled it well though and kept good communication. Food was good but I felt bad that the wait deterred us from eating at the restaurant again during our stay. Overall good and we would stay here again

Absolutely loved this place! Loved the beach and the option to buy firewood for various pits around the property. The food was amazing as well. My only complaint is not having a fan in the room since I use one to sleep… BUT I will be back :)
