Absolutely charming motel! Very reasonably priced-we stayed in a king whirlpool room. Very rustic, eclectic decor. Jetted tub was ok, a bit on the small/awkward side, but was nice for a short soak before bed. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, lots of flowers around, and beautiful foliage in the back, both planted and natural. It's a refurbished property, so there is age, but we thought it added to the charm. It's right on a highway coming in to the city, but couldn't even tell when in the room-we like being off the beaten path a bit, but still close to some fun spots! (Hit up Bent Paddle Brewery & their new Cann A Lounge-cool experience!) We prefer locally owned, small accommodations over big-box hotels, and with FREE zoo passes (right across the street!!) and bikes for riding the trail, TWO bonfire rings with wood provided, and lovely customer service to boot, this place hit it out of the park! The photo I shared was directly outside our door-very serene. We really enjoyed snuggling with Martha, their black lab on site, we missed our fur babies back home! That was a treat! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we'll be back!
