Derek & Rena are excellent hosts with a lovely clean and comfortable b& b, with off street parking. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful and they catered to one of our party’s dietary needs perfectly & generously .

The staff are lovely and friendly. The only thingvthat stopped me giving it a 4* across the board was how uncomfortable the bed was.

Rina was a gracious hostess!! She was knowledgeable about the area and gave great suggestions on where to go and what to see!!! Hamilton House was truly a charm!!

Loved it!
Hamilton house is a lovely home from home for any traveller. From the friendly welcome from Derek to the comfortable beds and spotless bedroom, it was a delight. Rena was generous in her time and attention whilst serving us a variety of delicious fruits, cereals and cooked items from the menu. A great place nd very handy for our craft workshop at Gracefields and town centre restaurants.

Our first visit to the area. Host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Lots to explore in local area. Accommodation was lovely. We would have liked to stay longer but we’re expected further north.

Short stay at Hamilton House
Great 2 night stay, spotlessly clean snd a lovely house in top notch condition, couldn’t fault bedroom and bathroom. Derek and Renee made us feel very welcome. Super breakfast as well!

We had a wonderful stay. We were greeted warmly and given a very beautiful room. Breakfast was excellent. Location is great for a visit in Dumphries. We will definitely stay there again!

We received a warm welcome and were well looked after. The room was very clean, a good size and light and airy. Breakfast was excellent. The location was ideal 10 min walk into town. Lots of local information was provided e.g food, drink and tourist attractions. The property was very covid compliant. Highly recommended.

Excellent B and B not far from Dumfries centre.
Hamilton house fully deserves its 4 Star rating. The rooms are huge and classically equipped with some beautiful furniture and beds are very comfortable with high quality linen. What's not to like? We had a room at the rear which was very peaceful. Breakfast is served in a room overlooking the garden and plenty of choice was available. All in all a very comfortable 2 nights. Thank You and hope you receive many more bookings once this regrettable situation eases.

Fabulous stay!
Lovely, spacious and quiet room. Extremely comfortable Kingsize bed. (Room 3) Kettle in room. Breakfast was all local sourced produce which was cooked to order. Hot and delicious. Derek and Reena, the owners were great. I will be going to book again!

Great place to stay.
I had a lovely stay here - really comfortable, cosy and welcoming. My room had plenty of space and all the facilities I needed. My hosts were very kind and even gave me a lift to a car hire station when the weather turned really bad. The location is very convenient for the station and a walk into the town. I would definitely recommend staying here & hope to do so again in the future.

Great B&B!
Stayed here as part of a work trip. The hospitality was great with very friendly owners who made me feel very welcome. The room was a good size and I cannot fault the cleanliness as it was spotless. Breakfast was delicious. I only had the cooked selection but there was also fruit, cereals and yogurts on offer. I will be sure to look into booking again next time I need to stay in Dumfries.
