Friendliness & helpfulness of the owner, Allison! Very nice, relaxing atmosphere! Resident's bar was a plus. Very well-run Inn! Our most favorite stay of our trip.

Stayed here lots of times. Always welcomed with a friendly smile, and Alison goes above and beyond to make sure everyone, from returning and new guests have a comfortable stay. Always found the village inn home from home, relaxing and what a breakfast! The breakfast is the best ever with local fresh produce! What more does anyone want .... Clean, comfortable, peaceful and a great breakfast!

Very welcoming and nice stay.
A very well maintained B&B. Alison was a very good host and was very welcoming. Dog friendly. Breakfast was very nice. Would highly recommend staying here.

The perfect stop
The whole stay from beginning to end, it was 10/10. The lady owner was friendly, she allowed us to have our own food at the table in the evening, bathroom had all the toiletries you would ever need, the breakfast was tailored made for each of us, fresh fruit salad, freshly made porridge and a full cooked Scottish breakfast. Very good value. Highly recommend it

The property and the rooms are first class,Allison gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, she showed us around the room which was first class as was the breakfast which kept us going for the rest of the day and all this is due to hard work she puts into it, we would definitely go there again and would definitely recommend.

Very friendly and helpful
We had a lovely stay at The Village Inn. Alison could not have been any more helpful. From initial booking to when we arrived. Our room Had everything you could possibly wish for, from toiletries to tea, coffee and water. We will definitely be back. Thank you Alison

A total gem!
The Village Inn, Kirtlebridge is a total gem. Convenient if you're travelling but also a lovely spot just to visit. The family room is perfect, lots of space and proper beds (no mattresses on the floor or fold outs). Breakfast was delicious. We took our dog and she was made very welcome too. We will definitely be back!!!

The Village Inn was the perfect spot to stop off enroute from Kent to Aberdeenshire. Quiet. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly and warm. Alison was welcoming and helpful and the evening meal tasty and reasonably priced and breakfast substantial. Thanks Alison!

This was our 2nd time staying at The Village Inn on our way to Scotland. Alison is delightful. Very friendly and works so hard for her little business. The bedroom (family room) was very comfortable. The BEST part... Alison sets you up for the day with her fantastic full Scottish breakfast. Large portion and delicious :-)

So glad to find this B&B
As soon as my booking was made Alison contacted me and gave information regarding arrival, parking and food. I got a very warm welcome on arrival and shown to a lovely room which was spacious and very comfortable. Food was excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. I will definitely stay again.

REALLY GREAT PLACE TO STAY. Alison was very friendly, the food was excellent and the room was very clean and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend here as a place to stay.

Für uns ein perfekter Zwischenstopp auf der Rückreise von Nordschottland zurück zur Fähre in Dover. Großzügiges 4 Bettzimmer mit 1 Doppelbett und 2 richtigen Einzelbetten (keine Beistellbetten) en-suite Bad. Liebevoll eingerichtet (mit 2 Sessel, Tisch, Kühlschrank etc.), sehr sauber. Viel Platz für Familie mit 2 Teenager-Kindern. Besitzerin Alison ist super freundlich und serviert ein perfektes, leckeres, schottisch/englisches Frühstück nach Wunsch. Bestes Porridge Schottlands ;-)!! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Friendly comfortable guest house
A very friendly welcome on arrival. A lovely spacious room with en-suite. Everything in the room was excellent and comfortable. A bar for residents had a wide choice of drinks on offer. If I had being staying longer this would be a good place to relax in the evenings. Breakfast had a wide choice of options and was very well presented. The location just off the motorway makes it a brilliant stop off point.

Warm welcome with home comforts.
Alison was so lovely; making us, and our dogs extremely welcome. Good choice of food, even for veggie/vegan. Lovely wine, nice rooms with good showers. Recommend.

Fantastic host and perfectly situated just off the motorway. Room couldn't have been cleaner, facilities were great. Only one downside was the vent for the bathroom clicking in the wind! Would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend to anyone. The breakfast was fantastic and the warmest welcome to myself and the dogs. Thank you for having us!

Super comfy and clean family room!
Amazing stay! We stayed in the family room, which had all the facilities we needed for family of 4, super clean, comfy beds! The inn had some renovation works going, but that did not disturb or affected our stay! The hostess was attentive, tasty breakfast! Would stay again should be in the area.

Our stay was so wonderful! Had the most lovely time staying here with my partner on a stopover on the way up to Inverness. Alison was such a lovely host and we were made to feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived! The food was incredible and our room was so large and had everything we wanted and more. Can't wait for an excuse to come back and stay!

Superb value for money!
Splendid place. Made very welcome. Safe parking at the rear for my motorcycle. Bought evening meal - fantastic curry! Room was sparkling clean - new. Red hot shower always welcome. It was spot on. Breakfast choices were numerous and delicious. Portions very generous. Great value for money! Lovely lady owns the place.

Couples Getaway - Family Time
A warm welcome was to be found at The Villlage Inn. Alison, our hostess couldn't have done more. The chatting around a cozy fire with a glass in hand made for a relaxing evening with all the comforts of home. Our room was bright, airy and spacious and my partner and I slept like logs. As for the breakfast..hot and plenty of it. Try the Scottish Breakfast if you can, the haggis is delightful. Wouldn't hesitate in visiting again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Very friendly stay!
Very friendly and welcoming service upon arrival, at dinner (excellent range of high-quality, home-cooked bar food) and at breakfast (superb porridge and great Scottish cooked breakfast). Specious, modern, clean and well-equipped rooms. Delightfully dog-welcoming - but you don’t need to have a dog to qualify for the welcome!
