Friendly staff
Not too far from the city centre, if you like walking. Parking space is very limited, but you could possibly find residential parking nearby, up the hill. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were okay. The shower could use some improvements, which was the only inconvenience.

가격대비 만족합니다.
사진이나 생각했던 것 보다 집이 좀 오래 되긴 했지만, 직원이 친절하고, city centre까지 걸어서 갈 수 있음(도보 약 8분) 단, 주차장 공간은 많지 않고 도로는 유료 주차(저녁 6시-익일9시까지 무료)이므로 차 렌트시 주차 문제 있을 수 있음. 가격대비 만족.

가격대비 아주 좋은 위치와... 잘 갖추어진 숙소 입니다. 방이 없어서 6인실을 사용했는데... 그렇게 불편하지는 않았습니다.

A very clean backpackers accommodation, Clean White linen, daily cleaned place, well maintained and friendly staff. My mattress was sinking a bit. My daughters was very good. Very close to the university, cafes, to the town/ shopping.

オタゴ大学近く
女性専用ドミトリーとシングルルームを利用しました。まずスタッフがみんな良い！困っていると声をかけてくれました。部屋も清潔。キッチンは3カ所あり、1カ所はコンロあり。2カ所はお茶や朝食程度を用意できるくらいのもの。洗濯と乾燥は各2ドル(一台しかないけど、とても安い！)天候の影響もあるだろうけど、やや寒かったのが難点。

Nice stay
My stay was comfortable. The staff were lovely and it was close to everything. The building is basic but has charm.

We stayed in the twin room with ensuite, excellent room, however our check in was not a great experience for first time in Dunedin. I had messaged the day before that we would be arriving at 9pm an hour after check in closed, upon arriving another guess let us in, then we were confronted by a grumpy manager who accused me of not reading their email with instructions of uplifting our key. After going on her computer the email had only been sent an hour before our arrival and while we were in flight, she then blamed the mistake on her staff. We will not be staying there again, if she is the Manager however the Place and location were perfect.

I did apologise for being slightly grumpy as I explained I was sick and was half asleep when you called. You had been sent the information for a late check-in which you found on your phone when I was with you. I am glad you enjoyed the hostel.

Confirmed stay was cancelled
We didnt end up staying here despite hotels.com confirming our stay and continued to email us updates then send us this.... despite us contacting them several times saying Kiwis Nest had cancelled our booking because they didnt have a room for us. Hotels.com you need sort this.

Kiwi Backpackers
BEST backpackers we have stayed in yet! Very nice room with our own bathroom and lovely facility! Only issue is that PARKING very LIMITED in this location. If you don’t have a car it is just fine and easy walking to lots of places.

Ok boende i eget rum med ganska bekväm säng. Jag bodde i rummet bredvid matsalen och det var mycket lyhört. Ett stort minus var att delar av personalen hade fest i ett rum/lägenhet bredvid köket och var högljudda samt spelade hög musik till lång efter midnatt. Det är inte ok när man har betalande gäster som förväntar sig tystnad efter 22.00!

Kiwis nest is the best hostel amount the 3 hostels I have stayed in this trip. very clean and nice staff. lots of common space , guests are all good behaved. would stay here again

Everything was great except the bizarre art of the new owners. This art was everywhere. In the bedroom, the lounge, the dinning room, the landing above the stairs. Creepy disturbing images that jarred the character of the house. After two days waking to the creepy art work in my bedroom, I went to the motel across the road and checked out them as the possible venue for my next visit to Dunedin. More expensive but a much nicer atmosphere Unfortunate but that over abundance of bizarre art detracted from the many positives of this accomodation and the excellent staff and service provided.

Clean room with a cozy bed. Quiet and peaceful. Very helpful staff. The only negative is that the kitchen which has the microwave is open only from 8am to 9pm. It would have been better if it was accessible earlier than that in the morning.

I had terrible service when I arrived at the property, no one would answer the door and the manager I had to ring to bring me a key was so rude to me yelling and mumbling about how they were full up and it was too late at night, eventually he practically threw me a key

Central to central Dunedin. Economical:if you appreciate the basics they do this very well. Facilities excellent, homely and accessible. Would revisit.
