Owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the area, room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the mountains, breakfast was very good, and location is short drive to town. The property is beautiful with two ponds and a couple small streams, very peaceful.

Great country inn
Very comfortable, quiet, private. Pretty country setting, 15 minutes away from noisy, crowded Durango, but easy to get anywhere in the area. Friendly hosts, nice cooked to order breakfast. Would love to stay there again.

Charming place and lovely hosts. Great light, comfortable bed, luxurious linens, beautiful gardens. Breakfast was mediocre, but the fresh pressed apple juice was to die for. . Would have appreciated a full-length mirror and lower positioning of the mirror in the bathroom.

We loved everything about our stay here! Our room The Macintosh was very comfortable and nice. Next time we will try the cottage! The breakfast served every morning was so delicious and meeting new people was fantastic. The hosts of the place were so kind and a joy to be around. It was so beautiful! Thank you again!

Short and sweet stay. Quiet and charming place.
We stayed here once before in one of the upstairs rooms in the guest house. It was a bit too small to our liking, but nice. We chose this vacation trip to stay in one of the little cottages. We loved the cottage!!!!! It was so cute and comfortable. It was nice to be out on the front porch in the provided rocking chairs to enjoy the outdoor views. We left early the next morning before the breakfast was served, as we were traveling on to Woodland Park, CO.

The outdoor landscaping is gorgeous, but the Cottage we stayed in (Fireside) is in desperate need of attention from new carpet to exposed electrical wires. The owners seem overwrought and not attentive to the customers. Breakfast was not up to par with other B&B’s I’ve stayed at. Not enough toilet paper, towels or toiletries. Worst of all I Was charged over $80 after I left for two towels. I got red hair dye on my one towel only. What a scam. I will be sure to stay at O-Bar-O Cabins on my next trip to Durango. They are much nicer and friendly.

It is always our goal to provide our guests with an extremely comfortable stay, delicious food and a warm, pleasant, peaceful atmosphere. You seemed quite happy until receiving our 80 bill for two premium, white, 100% Egyptian cotton bath sheets that you ruined by dyeing your hair pink with them, wiping heavy, black eye makeup on them, and staining them with blood. Pro tip: where ever you end up staying, try dyeing your hair at home with your own towels instead of using theirs. The rest of your complaints, not repeated by other reviewers, we treat as an attempt to spoil our otherwise stellar reputation in retribution for the charge.

YES, I would stay again!

Hum, are you sure you don't have us confused with another establishment? The Apple Orchard Inn is a lush and green oasis located in the beautiful north Animas River valley. The 4-1/2 acre property features flowing creeks, ponds, gardens, and orchards frequented by the local wildlife. We don't even have a pool. ???

Hidden Hideaway/Fantastic
Room was country cozy. It was clean with lots of light. Loved the grounds. Beautiful wild flowers, running stream, and a friendly female duck! Truely enjoyed our breakfast. Caretakers were wonderful. We will definitely spend more time there on a return visit!

beautiful property and peaceful! our cottage was amazing and cozy. we enjoyed sitting outside, eating fresh apples, and just relishing in the peaceful surroundings. we saw deer on the property and the chickens are free range. breakfast was delicious and the property owners are fantastic! we will definitely be back!

Exceptional in every way.

We do have an ice maker but due to licensing restrictions the machine is located in the kitchen, staff only. You may request ice, as much as you want, from the staff.

Great location, but not BNB like warmth
We had a good stay because we enjoyed our cottage with a little babbling brook running by, front porch for catching up on emails, and excellent location to the Bar D Chuckwagon and hearing the steam train go by occasionally. Some of our interactions with staff were strange, which seemed to center around an emphasis on guests not using too much of their supplies.

Wonderfully cozy, quiet and secluded.
Wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts, Jim & Leslie we're so very nice. Breakfast was (Thanx Leslie) delicious and satisfying every morning. The apple crisps were decadent. Every bite was worthy of a "yummy" sound. Jim's local knowledge was very helpful and interesting. Our cabin (the Fireside) was cozy, romantic and quiet. The bed was a little firm and low for us but still ok. The grounds were simply beautiful. Our little Schnauzer was in heaven. We are already planning our tee eturn visit for next year.

THE OWNERS DID SAY THEY WERE PUTTING IN TVS IN THE FINAL 2 ROOMS AND WE WILL GO BACK AND STAY HERE 👍

What a beautiful, serene property! We are driving from TX to WA and this was a really nice stop! Beautiful alternative to a regular hotel. The room was very nice and roomy! My husband wanted to steal (not really) the rocking chairs in front of the fireplace because they were so comfy! We even got to enjoy our coffee while soaking in the cute little hot tub on the back patio. Great place! Highly recommend!
