The apartment was very nice with a fantastic porch / balcony for sitting outside and enjoying both the sun and shade. The only issue I had was with the TV. there was no where to sit comfortable to watch the TV from the living room or the bed.

Parking is optional and an additional cost and must be requested immediately from the property management after reservation. The location is strategically located inside the city. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis as these are fully functional studios with complete kitchen and tools and not a hotel.

The Beauty of Ghent
I liked : the location - within walking distance to all the city attractions, the well-equipped kitchenette - nothing was missing. The studio was clean and quiet. I didn't like : the view from the windows - due to the low ground floor/basement location all I could see were the legs of other people and dogs :) The studio was also pretty dark. Anyway, the good thing about the basement was that we didn't need to drag all our luggage up the super narrow stairs;-) And one more thing/ piece of advice : everything would have been perfect, if we had been given directions how to get to the car park IN ADVANCE . For someone who doesn't know the place, finding a parking spot always involves lots of stress. And going back from the car park to the Place2stay (in order to pack our luggage) was a living nightmare, as we had to drive nearly 5 km all around which took us 20 minutes. Again : had we known about that sooner, we would have been prepared for the time &distance, which could have saved us lots of unnecessary stress.

Appartamento (Penthouse) luminosissimo, fornito di tutto il necessario, ben tenuto e perfettamente pulito. Una vera "casa" a Gent! Splendida la terrazza (purtroppo, poco utilizzata per via della pioggia...). Un po' faticoso trascinare i trolley su per le scale. Grazie a Nele, simpaticissima e cordiale! Se ne avremo occasione, torneremo sicuramente.

Surprisingly nice modern studio in a older building. Comfortable bed nice bathroom and all the amenities. We were both surprised and happy. Staff was extremely accommodating.

Centrally located spacious apartment
Functional and spacious place in the city centre of Ghent. The host is an excellent communicator and easily accessible. Very clean, plenty of amenities and great views.

Bij aankomst moest ik gewoon aanbellen en mezelf aanmelden. De deur werd vanop afstand geopend. Deze accomodatie ligt op een boogscheut van de Vrijdagsmarkt. Als je houd van alles op je eigen manier in te vullen wat betreft eten en ontbijt is dit zeker een aanrader. Zeer vriendelijke eigenares die alle studio’s en appartementen zelf poetst.

nous avons aimé la situation au centre ville qui permet de tout faire à pied, nous n'avons pas apprécié la chambre en dessous du niveau de la rue avec des barreaux aux fenêtres nous avons été choqués par le non accueil à savoir pas de réception , juste un interphone pour donner le numéro de la chambre et donc aucune réponse à des renseignements sur la ville ou l'appart hotel

El lugar es amplio, moderno, limpio y excelentemente bien ubicado. Lamentablemente el acceso con equipaje es bastante difícil pues no tiene ascensor y la escalera es muy angosta y empinada. Asimismo, no tienen aire acondicionado ni ningún tipo de ventilador a pesar de que lo pedimos, y la temperatura del verano era muy elevada. Tampoco nos dejaron jabones o shampoo como hacen en la mayoría de alojamientos

We liked: Great location, close to the tourist centre of Ghent, & a modern, spacious apartment. Also offering the option of some paid private car parking was invaluable as parking is not so easy in Ghent. We didn't like: We had the worst nights sleep in all of our three week holiday travelling around Europe. The bedrooms were unbearably hot & airless even with the windows vented. No fans or air-conditioning were available, & when we opened the windows wide we were inundated with mosquitos which had a great feed on us. So not only did we awake tired, but covered in bites!

The hardest part was finding the place. The street signage is very small. After that, however, everything was fantastic. The rooms are very spacious, well-appointed, modern and clean, and the property's location is close to a lot of things you'll want to walk to. The hostess is gracious and aims to please.

Good but lack of airco and bed not comfortable
Central and clean apartment. Lack of airconditioning in the warm weather made me yearning for a comfortable hotel room. There was a filter coffee machine. Mattress was also hard and not comfortable. Didn't have a good sleep. However these are improvement points, overall the stay and apartment is recommended and definitely above average

Place2stay in Ghent is a lovely, clean, modern suite of rooms and apartments. The hosts are friendly and communicative. The location is excellent. The stairs are European, steep and narrow, but this only adds to the charm; pack lightly, as I had a really heavy case and negotiation the stairs was interesting! But this is a really excellent accomodation and I recommend it without hesitation.

Thanks for your feedback! Indeed all space is used in the historical city center: explains the narrow stairs, (no elevator)which is sometimes a challange for few, very heavy and broad lugguage. I want to make clear, that the stairs are safe (concrete with tiles and wall and handrail) and easy to walk.

Great apartments in Ghent.
Lovely apartment with a good Central location in Ghent from where you can walk to most places. Clean & modern, with plenty of kitchen equipment if you want to cook you own meals to eat on the large roof terrace, if you're in the top floor apartment! But be aware that there is no lift, so if stairs are a problem, make sure that there is an apartment available on a lower floor. Very nice & helpful owner.
