The hotel facilities, staff, and breakfast were excellent. I was only unhappy with the extremely noisy guests that were on the first floor (Reception Level). The noise began at 9 pm and escalated. I had to eventually bring it to the receptionist's attention at 11:00 pm before anything was done about it. Very dissapointing !!!

Its ok for a short stay. I had a toddler and my elderly parents with me. On the saturday night to morning it was very noisy due to drunk people making a noise in the lobby. Very small rooms and bathrooms.

One Star Lodge
Room on 2nd floor, no lift. Reception very unfriendly. Small room, not like the photos. Shower n toilet very small. Stained and old toilet.Only 1 soap provided, no other toiletries. No hairdryer in room. Had to ask for it from reception. Very old noisy aircon, kept on switching off. Pillows had a smell. Wanted to cancel the room but i only reached the lodge after 10pm and was too tired to look for another room. Had just driven from Cape Town. Was very upset with quality of room. Will NEVER stay at Road Lodge again. Also, Hotels.com must boldly state the stars and quality of rooms they advertised. Why wasn't it boldly stated that the Road Lodge PE is one star. Had i known , i would never have booked it. I felt very cheated.

Needs to improve
The rooms were clean yes but there are no bar fridges or whatsoever to store food and drinks. They didn’t provide water for the guests and no iron or hairdryer in the rooms, I had to go to the reception and ask for it.

Good day Asemahle Thank you for your feedback. We do not have bar fridges in our rooms, however your comment has been noted for future updates in our rooms. We do provide a H2O Water Hydration station in our restaurant for all our guests. We unfortunately do not have irons and hairdryers in the rooms, they are however available on request at reception.
