This review is for Room 124, which is separate from the rest of the motel, to the left of and on the backside of the office. It has its own driveway, and entrance, with a nice winding brick sidewalk and steps, flanked with palm leaves (I think they were palms), and 2 chairs on the porch. It is a large single room, with a closet (metal clothing bar with hangers, iron/ironing board) and bathroom (vanity sink with ample storage, lighted mirror, hair dryer, toilet, roomy shower stall). The A/C worked well. There is a desk with 2 chairs, mini-fridge, microwave oven, jacuzzi surrounded by mirrored panels (being the unsophisticated guy that I am, I couldn't figure out how to operate), a fairly large flat-screen TV housed in a cabinet (with drawers), 2 end-tables (with drawers) topped with lamps, and a king-size bed. Yes, it is dated; yes, there are some dents, cracks, and scratches; but it was very clean and smelled nice. The room has a good feel, and it was quiet. It is located on the main drag, leading to the bridge off the island, and going to Assateague Island, where the beach is. It is also close to the downtown area, where the shops are. It is next door to the coffee shop, and as soon as I stepped out of the front door, I could small coffee. The motel gives you free vouchers to get a free coffee/danish. I've stayed in quite a few motels, in the past 30 years, and this particular room was the best overall experience I've ever had.
