Posizione comodissima a 20 minuti a piedi da Prince Street. Il b&b è veramente confortevole, le camere sono attrezzate di tutto; dal bollitore per prepararsi un caffe o tea, asciugacapelli e tantissime prese!!! Colazione top preparata al momento dal proprietario del b&b.

Absolutely LOVED our stay! The gracious host is outstanding, especially the made to order breakfasts! The room was spacious and great; the bathroom was a good size although the shower itself was a little small. We’d stay here again and again!

Nice, comfortable rooms for the price
The Cruachan House offers a decent and comfortable stay. The host is very nice and helpful, plus he makes a very nice breakfast. The house itself is a bit dated, and our bedroom was fairly small; however, our bathroom was quite spacious and recently renovated. The location is great and only about a 10 minute walk from the popular Grassmarket area. It might be about a 15 minute walk to the Royal Mile.

Comfy room in Edinburgh
I enjoyed staying at the guest house. Thank you for looking after me so well. The guest house is a 20 min walk from the city centre in a nice neighborhood with lots of nice restaurants close by. The room was simple but very comfy. Breakfast is served in 1st floor. Good value accommodation. I'll stay again if I come back to Edinburgh.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön.Das Bad war neu renoviert.Es funktionierte alles.Der Hausherr war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend.Das Frühstück war super, mehr als ausreichend,vielfältiges Angebot an Essen.

Nice Guest House. Friendly owner. Rooms tidy and clean. No access to a toaster etc though, which would of been nice as I had to leave the B and B before breakfast hours to catch my flight when I stayed 3 weeks before. Good value for money however.

Die Unterkunft liegt relativ zentral in Edinburgh. Vom Stadtzentrum/Bahnhof bin ich maximal 20 Minuten zur Unterkunft gegangen. Damit ist Sie optimal geeignet für einen Sightseeing-Trip. Es handelt sich um ein privat geführtes Gästehaus. Der Hausherr kümmert sich bspw. morgens ums Frühstück etc. Das Zimmer selbst war groß, sauber & hatte sogar einen Kühlschrank. Für den bezahlten Preis war das was ich erhalten habe absolut anmessend.

NO FREE Parking ! Good place to stay otherwise.
Our stay at Cruachan was good. Bed (room 2 top floor) was adequate, not the comfiest but I wouldn’t want to haul a bigger mattress up all those awkward stairs either ;) Lovely fresh modern shower room which was surprisingly large. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked to order. I would not mark the stay down because of this, but Hotels.com advertise this as having free on site parking and this was the reason I booked here, this is NOT true. In torrential rain it was no fun searching for a place to park and the traffic wardens are ninjas!! Thanks to Hotels.com for the £30 ticket!!

Good value for money
For the price we paid , it was good value for money. The only negative I have is the bed was not that comfy and the some of the tableware at breakfast was stained which was a bit off putting. Overall, a pleasant stay.

AVOID. Needs cleaned, updated and parking.
Hotels.com states this guesthouse has parking; this is WRONG. There is no parking unless on a Sunday where you can park on a single yellow line (if there are spaces available). Needless to say we're £11 down and had to walk half a mile to legal, safe parking. The bedroom (room 4) had cobwebs on the ceiling, pubic hair on the bathroom floor beside the towel rail, hair in the shower, pubic hair on the bedsheet of the double bed, snowflake Christmas decorations (we're 16th on the 16th August) so that confirms the inner windows in the dining area (conservatory) haven't been cleaned. The view from the dining area was rubbish bags, a mop and bucket (sat outside) and a garden shed. When I asked the owner about parking he made it clear this has never been an issue on here before but I've just read a review that states someone else queried this so I think someone (owner) is talking rubbish. The owner didn't even try to help with parking, just told us to basically park anywhere although where not to park and when not to park in areas. I was going to go for a shower but when my husband went into the bathroom he found a pair of men's pants left behind the radiator which strongly confirms the cleaners only know how to run a hoover on a carpet and make beds between guests. Tea and coffee was available in the bedroom but no little milk tubs so kind of pointless. There is no mirror in the bedroom and the wardrobe is broken (held in place by bricks). Happy to be home and bathed.....yuk!!!

Lovely but insufficient luggage storage available
The guest house exceeded our expectations; our room was spacious and clean. The shower was lovely and the bed very comfortable. The staff and breakfast were also superb. In fact the only downside was that they could only store luggage until 2pm, which resulted in us having to pay £45 in taxis and £20 luggage storage in order to attend a prebooked attraction in the expectation of being able to leave our luggage until at least 2.30pm

The place was ok, but a little tired but the breakfast was very good I had a major issue with parking…Expedia said it was free…there isn’t any and the second night it took me 20 mins to find what I thought was metered parking but I ended up with a ticket…my confusion but this is why I booked somewhere in Edinburgh with parking

Only negative was the non existent parking, but the owner sorted us out with a space on a neighbours property. Apart from that. Super position for town centre and clean and comfortable overnight stay. Super breakfast too!

Great location. Worth a stay.
Great location - plenty of bus services or why not walk to Princes Street - only about 20 mins. Enjoyed breakfast. Plenty of places to eat nearby ranging from Indian, Nepalise, Italian, Mexican, traditional fish and chips and a range of reatuarant and shops all close at hand. Supermarkets and ATM's all nearby too.

Such a brilliant stay. Highly recommend!
I honestly have to commend Cruachan Guest House. They couldn’t have done anything better, and as far as BnB’s go, this was by far one of the best stays I’ve had. The rooms were very spacious, high ceilings and a mini fridge too. We had a triple room with 1 single and 1 double on the ground floor at the front of the building. The windows were very well insulated and you barely hear anything from the road. The breakfast each day was brilliant with such a variety. You had all the usual continental items and cereals, pancakes with lots of toppings and the full English was just delicious. The service was also on point and they couldn’t have been any more helpful. Would highly recommend. It was also well situated and only took about 10/15 minutes to get to princess street, The castle and nightlife/restaurants

It was nice to have a bathroom but it was a big problem that toilette did not flush poperly. I had to push down the lever more than ten times every time. This was a huge disappointment, though I liked everything else. Especially, I was very happy with the breakfast which was freshly home cooked.
