The hotel is self is good,cosy and stylish, close to haymarket station, so easy to travel. This was what it was originally attracted me to book it. Have contacted the Hotel to leave my bag before check in time, and they have kindly agreed. But when I arrived, the owner simply wanted to put me in standard room whereas I have paid for a deluxe double room. He justified in a way that it was because I arrived earlier so my reserved room was not ready, which was completely a lie. When I talked to another cleaning staff, she is able to find me a room that I requested immediately, as there was no one occupied in it. The next morning when I went down to have my breakfast, there was a small incident that I mistakenly put the wrong size bread in an atypical toasting machine. When I pointed it out the bread got stuck and politely asked for help, the owner first refused and aggressively states that he is not a mechanic and it’s not his job. When I said to him, it’s dangerous because it might caught fire, he reluctantly opened the machine to examine it. And later on began to insult me, saying that ” you obviously didn’t know how to use your brain... this is not rocket science...”. I don’t mind apologising over my mistake, but when I reminded him that he should at least speak to me in a normal tone and polite manner, he got even angrier. from my experience, this nice hotel is run by a very impolite man, and he doesn’t know how to speak appropriately and treat his customer with respect.
