We travel from Ontario to Nova Scotia twice a year and have stayed here a couple of times. Always friendly and helpful staff. Excellent hotel.

I didn’t find it very clean, we were super uncomfortable last night. The pillows were yellow tinged and everything. I had to go buy my own blanket and pillow.

An older property but very well maintained. Beds are very comfortable- not too soft, not too hard. Staff are very friendly. Nice to have a sauna!

The receptionist was more than helpful and referred me to a stupendously beautiful - in both site and menu.

Parking was not permitted in the front area of the property. Lighting was poor in the area you walk from parking.

Last night was a storm. The parking lot was an absolute disaster. I got stuck. My husband went in and asked about a shovel none was available. We drove from downtown Ontario to this hotel. When we arrived, tired and hungry we went to the lobby to get restaurant Bouchers, the only available one was out of date when we called. The staff told me to look in the book in the room. I went back the staff was unfamiliar with what was available in the are.

Pretty average spot. Wish a person didn't have to burn through over $130 for just a room. Included breakfast was just breads and hard boiled eggs, nothing special there.

The room was cheap which was nice, but don’t count on eating a full breakfast, it was a raw breakfast (fruits and cereal). The room was big with the 2 beds but also very outdated. A green tiled shower and some coloured bed sheets. Overall, good place to stay when your in a bind.

The pictures online were lovely. However, the hotel itself is dated. The room was dark and old. The towels were thin and old. The parking lot was icy and it felt unsafe . Not what I expected.

Overall the place is quiet and clean. Beds are very comfortable. The only issue I had was the room was way too warm and the thermostat did not work. I put it at zero and it didn't change anything. Phone also didn't work

It was very disappointing cause it did not look at all like pictures on site! It is an old hotel! Luckily it was clean and staff were nice! But again very disappointed!

The staff were very pleasant to interact with. No elevator, aged building and partly updated. The room rates are too high for the building. Didn't stay so unsure of breakfast.

Professional staff. Hard mattress.
I couldn't sleep. The mattress was not comfortable at all. Checked out before midnight at continued on my journey with the little rest I had. Not recommended if you normally sleep with a soft mattress. The fan in the bathroom made a terrible racket and didn't seem to be functioning well at all. The pool was closed for maintenance which is too bad. It would have been nice to use the jacuzzi to relax my back muscles before continuing. The staff were very professional and helpful and the room was very clean. It's a shame that the facility itself was not great quality. This is one of those "you get what you pay for" reminders.

Gross and broken.
A quick stop-over on a 20-hour trip, i don't need much, but this did not deliver. At check-in, I was informed the pool was "broken" without any prior notice, or any indication on the booking profile. I would have not booked this room had I known there were any issues. The free breakfast was the most unpalatable hard-boiled egg I have ever had the displeasure of putting near my face. Was it even a real egg? I think it was made of rubber and the yolk was made of chalk.
