the electricity was down 4pm on our third day they used generator generator can support air conditioner 3am on our last night of stay I woke up in sweat, the airconditioner unit was not working again the staff gave me an electric fan

The hotel is in dire need of a make over. Th owner should reinvest some of that high room rate ( for the condition of the room) into new shower head, or toilet paper holder and maybe some small shampoo and conditioning. If you book, insist on room 11, otherwise you get view of coconut tree.

The hotel is good the room is let a bit small, and also the have to put small refrigerator instead of the small shelf. But the location is perfect!

Relaxed stay in El Nido

Hôtel propre et bien situé
Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans cet hôtel dans une chambre située au rez-de-chaussée avec vue sur mer. Les chambres sont propres et l’établissement est très bien situé à proximité des commerces et restaurants. Il y a un petit balcon privatif très agréable avec une superbe vue et le personnel est sympathique. Par contre, un wifi de qualité moyenne accessible uniquement dans le hall. Des nuits un peu bruyantes car des jeunes écoutent de la musique sur la plage contre l'hôtel. Cependant nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour.

Hotel bem localizado, na frente da praia onde partem os passeios. O atendimento na recepção é bem frio, pouca atenção. Ficamos em um quarto de madeira, o quarto é ridículo, muito sujo e da para ouvir qualquer um passando pelo corredor ao lado ou no quarto de cima. Podia ouvir o ronco do vizinho de quarto. Mas o pior foi que encontramos um rato no quarto e ao avaliar a minha mochila vi que ele havia mordido algumas barras de cereais. Experiência terrível, pessoal da recepção não quis nos trocar de quarto e não achamos outro hotel livre.

Superbe pension !
On ne peut pas etre plus près de la plage, car l'hotel est SUR la plage ! Un bonheur ! un hotel sympa, qui a ce petit coté aventure avec des terrasses en bois, une chambre en bois et bamboo. La vue sur la mer est un très grand plus ! Le petit déjeuner servi sur la terrasse en admirant la plage et l'eau, que demandez de plus ?! Le personnel très agréable. Attention wifi catastrophique. En bref, Une très belle expérience !

bay-side hotel - basic, clean and helpful.
Great hotel, our room faced the beach. Rooms are basic, with a wet bathroom (which is common across Asia), breakfast is also good. Good location away from the main noise of El Nido. This was my second stay at Rosanna's. They do have rooms that do not face the beach, so just check what you're booking. Reading other reviews, its clear that some people come to El Nido expecting city-level service and facilities. El Nido might be 1 hour flight from Manila, but its still remote, with limited and under developed infrastructure--power, sewerage, electricity, internet, roads, health services.

The only good thing is the view from the balcony
We booked this hotel in March 2017 via Expedia for stay from 1-3 Jan 2018. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff could not find our reservation. She tried to search our booking reference number, name and even in cancellation lists but without success. She told us to call Expedia to sort out the problem. With no other options, we had to make an international roaming call to Expedia. The staff at Expedia were going back and forth with us and the hotel, giving other reference numbers for the hotel to search but still nothing. All this time we had to talk to different people from Expedia and hold the call while they contacted the hotel. The call lasted more than 30min which we were billed about US$60. Although staff from the hotel and Expedia were trying to help but we were not satisfied with their method. When we told the staff at Expedia to call us back once they had sorted out everything, they just kept on telling us to hold. The hotel staff also looked very confused and didn’t know how to deal with the situation. They did offer us to check into another hotel and give us a cost difference refund if that other hotel costed less but could not give us an answer to what if it costed more..? It was just a very frustrating situation. In the end, with our luck, one of their guest checked out earlier than expected, so we eventually got the room we wanted. The room had a nice balcony with the view of El nido town and the sea. I will never book through Expedia again. Bad experience!

It was good. But the smell from the toilet if you let the door open is horrible. The room she give us is room 9 so the view is coconut lol but i see half of the beach even I pay for beach front.

Ideal hotel to bookend El Nido Paradise tours
This is a comfortable hotel within steps of the El Nido Paradise tour boats (and their office, and restaurants)...That means ultimate convenience -nothing between you and the beach but your patio and immediate access to rest (and quality air conditioning) when you complete island hopping. As of our visit (yesterday), wifi was based out of the lobby -not the rooms- but we had a room near the lobby and that gave us fairly reliable signal.

Great location & very clean room
This hotel is in a great location of El Nido and it is a very clean and well kept hotel. The staff was ok and the breakfast was good. This hotel is directly on the beach and has beautiful veiws of the sunset. The rooms are very clean but a bit small but it was ok.

Stayed here fore 5 days and I enjoyed. It's not a 5 star hotel but it's comfortable, clean and it have what you need. The staff is great same as all over Philippines helpful with everything. The view from the pension is perfect there can be some noise but what do you expect when you are Staying at the Main Street. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and we Will come back next year again. Overpriced dump facing party beach
This was one of the most expensive hotels in town, presumably because of its position on the beach. Otherwise it was squalid; the bathroom smelled like gingivitis at all times. It's a cheap hostel at hotel prices. When the power goes out, as it often does in el nido, the hotel generator isn't strong enough to run the air conditioner. Being on the beach is a bad idea in el nido. Your room is open to people walking by and the deck is shared. Not secure, and at night the nearby disco thumps in your ear. There is no reason to pay a premium for this place; much the opposite.

We booked a beach front room (at extra cost) 6 months before our stay, when we arrived we were told that the room was unavailable due to a plumbing issue. Alarm bells rang, I had read a similar review about them before. We questioned this as all of the beach front rooms were obviously occupied and eventually the staff admitted it was a lie and they had sold our room to someone else! With the support of Hotel.com and after lots of complaining at the hotel we were given the room we had booked, compensated for their mistake and we had a lovely time. I just want to warn others, if they try to say that there is a fault with your room you should question this as it's possible not the truth!

Gorgeous hotel
Our stay at Rosanna was excellent, easy access to the beach. From the balcony you can watch the sunrise and sunset and hear the breeze and waves from the ocean. Highly recommend you hotel.

Friendly staff, Clean basic rooms, beautiful beach
We visited as a couple. Located near the end of the busy El Nido strip, a short walk to the nearest restaurants, cafe's, bars and shops- plus a super pancake shop at the end of the road. Beachfront- the sea crashing literally meters away from the balcony. Clean hotel, friendly staff. The upper level rooms were much nicer and quieter than the first lower level room we were in. The drainage in the bathroom of the lower level room 7 not great and smelt, luke warm showers which drenched the whole bathroom- could do with a shower curtain in both rooms. For the price, free wifi (although a little slow) and location, you get what you pay for. Id stay again in the top level floors.

Najgorszy hotel na Filipinach!
Najgorszy i najdroższy hotel w jakim przebywałem na Filipinach!! Kontakty i gniazdka elektryczne grożące porażeniem, rozpadający się karnisz, brak TV i internetu nawet w recepcji to nic w porównaniu z brakiem ciepłej wody pod prysznicem. Pytając dlaczego nie ma ciepłej wody uzyskałem informacje, że ciepła woda uzyskiwana jest przy wykorzystaniu paneli słonecznych, ale na pytanie czemu jej nie ma kiedy słońce mocno świeciło przez cały dzień już nie uzyskałem odpowiedzi. Pokoje sprzątane są wyłącznie na życzenie i po pozostawieniu klucza w recepcji. Biorąc to wszystko pod uwagę cena pokoju jest wręcz astronomiczna i osobie w niej mieszkającej nie jest oferowany nawet minimalny standard adekwatny do ceny. Generalnie odradzam!!!

Great for El Nido
We had a great stay here. It's less than a 5 min walk to where all the boats for the island tours are. They have wifi, which works on and off. Hot and cold water in the showers. They don't have a secure safety box. There is AC, but not TV in the rooms. (We didn't need it anyway!) Staff was very helpful and nice. They helped me arrange my transportation to and from the airport. It's definitely worth it for the price, including location. Beach side! The bathroom pipes smell a bit, not to harsh, only noticed while brushing my teeth, but besides that great place. Didn't have any encounter with mosquitoso.

Great location, friendly service, average room.
The location was amazing! We could see the ocean from our bed, listen to the waves as we fell asleep, and walk to all the restaurants along the beach. The room itself was basic and there was no wifi in the room, but there was wifi in the lobby, and the location certainly made up for it. Overall it was very pleasant and we would stay there again.

Skuffende hotelophold. Dårlig daglig rengøring. Samme kopper stod flere dage i træk uden at blive taget ud. Skulle selv hver dag bede om nye toiletartikler. Rengøringen var stort set ikke tilstedeværende. Forskelligfarvet og aflagt sengetøj og håndklæder. Håndværkere der starter klokken 7-8 om morgenen til 7 tiden om aftenen. Alt i alt får du langt fra hvad du betaler for. Der er så mange hoteller beliggende ned til stranden som er langt billigere. Receptionisten var ved ankomst ikke ret imødekommende og ikke særlig smilende. Dog er udsigten over stranden og havet helt fantastisk.

Falsely advertised
I pre booked this room for four nights. That was a big mistake. My fiance and I checked in and amedeitly regretted it the room was small and no television they advertise Wi-Fi like it is in the room's but only in the lobby. Also they advertise hot water in the shower but they didn't say it is solar heated . We checked out the next morning and found much better lodgings . Overall I would not recommend Roseanna's pension .

Overpriced but great location
For the price we paid, it could have been better. One woman at reception just barely did anything any time we asked for something; it was always just enough to get by. The air conditioner turned off in the middle of the night the first two nights. I was explained this was because of the "Brown Outs" (the electricity on the island shutting off), but I still had power in my room at that time. After going to reception and complaining twice in the middle of the night, they explained that the lights were on the generator but the air cons were not. I said for the price we pay, the air cons should also be on the generator. I was afraid it was an easy way for the hotel to save some money by shutting off the air cons and blaming it on the brown out (though the lights throughout the town were still on). After I complained, our air con didn't shut off the next two nights. We stayed in the older building, and the inside of the room was run down. The sheet on the bed instead of the cover was surprising. We asked for at least an extra sheet, and they gave that. The location of the hotel was perfect, though! There are other options that looked great right next to this place. We will return to El Nido, but not to this place.
