The night there was a disaster of comic proportions.
The toilet flooded our room.
The night manager blamed us for putting toilet tissue down the toilet and blocking it. Unaware of the fact that I know a lot about plumbing, and we had not blocked their faulty toilet.
If the toilet had been blocked it would not have caused the cistern to freeflow for 10 minutes and flooded the room.
These things happen, but the staff response was deplorable. We were given keys to a new room, but there was no interest in our plight.
So, we repacked did our best to dry out all the clothes, footwear and luggage that had been soaked, in the second room.
When we questioned the manager in the morning via his translator, (apparently, he does not speak English) we were informed that there was no chance of a refund as it was all our fault.
We will be taking that up with Expedia when we get back to the UK
