My family and I absolutely had the most wonderful time at the cottage. It was beautiful and the view was absolutely stunning. We will definitely be making this a yearly thing. We'd like to start going every summer and maybe winter. Weather was cold but we still had a blast and loved the wood stove. We will definitely recommend lang lakes to people.

More of a suggestion. We had to check in really late (not resort fault)so it was already dark. The property could probably use some more lights or a map of which cottage number is which as it was really hard to find to in the dark and for safety reasons.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights. Management was very inviting and responsive to our needs. The cabin was immaculate and had all the things we required for our stay! It was a ten minute drive to town for groceries or other needs. The only concern we’d have is that not all patio chairs were in the best of shape, so not all of us necessarily had something to sit on while out on the deck.

Use less detergent when washing towels and sheets. The smell is unbearable. You can see that a lot of it has been renovated and is very new. The surroundings are very nice, but the facilities are old and a bit dirty.

We enjoyed the location of the property. Lakeside and close to Espanola for supplies and Manitoulin Island for excursions. Advertised as a "resort" but is really a basic cottage. (fine by us). Enjoyed watching the fishers and had the urge to try fishing again myself. Be sure to go to the property's website for proper costs.

Le camp de pêche aux draps moisis.
On cherchait quatre chambres, mais je ne croyais pas, selon les photos, que je louais un camp de pêche. Il a fallu payer 80$ de plus car la literie n’était pas comprise pour 6 personnes mêmes si on avait déjà payé un surplus de $60, soit $15 pour quatre personnes supplémentaires. Ce n’était pas une aubaine ni la vie de château.

The area is beautiful and views from the room were great. The description claims there is Wifi which we did not get, and a restaurant/room service which is not true. A breaker kept going off turning off lights. Mouse feces on the fridge and also on matress of the pull out couch. Were not given a key to the room, just told to go in via text.

The property had millions of flies inside so it was very hard to sleep without them buzzing in your face. The outdoor space is nice and boat rentals are right onsite.

Opportunity to rent a boat with a temporary boating license, and a wide collection of boats to pick from. Clean, and safe property and friendly manager who accommodated all of our requests.

For people who tent camp, this was a treat. The appliances worked really well and the cottage was warm and relatively quiet. Parts of the cottage had been renovated and upkeep was great. It was disappointing to be given one towel for two to share but thankfully we brought along things like towels and toilet paper etc which were in short supply. As our plans were to explore Manitoulin Island, we were close to everything we wanted to do and see. However, there did not appear to be a lot to do at the resort outside of renting a boat if you wished. The view though was worth a million dollars!!!

This cottage was beautiful. It was nice simple environment. Look like work on cottage was ongoing. Washroom was very small.

Nice cabin resort, surrounded by beautiful scenery
The cabin was great and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. My car got stuck in the snow and they were very helpful in getting me out. I would definitely stay here again. Just make sure you have good winter tires if you go in the winter. I would love to come back in the summer.

The wi-fi didn't work, the bedside lamp didn't work and there was only one TV channel. You may have to bring your own sheets and towels.

Sorry to hear that the light bulb in the bedside lamp had burnt out, a simple notification to our front desk would have easily resulted in a new bulb being brought into the unit. We also could have walked you through how to access the over 600 channels the satellite dish has in that unit. Hope to see you again at Lang Lake Resort.

Huge disappointment!
Cannot understand why they are calling it a 'resort' and charging high rates when all the facilities are so substandard. The place was falling down, unkempt and not very clean. The bedclothes were dirty and had other people's hair in them, the floors were sticky and the carpets have never been cleaned. The shower was mouldy and old. The only redeeming feature of this place is it's setting on the lake, affording phenomenal views.

I'm sorry to hear that you did not have an enjoyable stay. You must have been in one of the last cottages we have left to remodel. I wish you would have informed us that there was issues with the cleanliness of your room when you arrived so we could have solved the issue. We need to know when our cleaning staff isn't doing their jobs so we can improve.
