Although I found the location of the hotel excellent, and the room's cleanliness, maintenance and the amenities provided were all okay, I felt unpleasant, upset even, with the staff at the reception during my stay.
I checked in at 11 p.m. which was very late, but I still expected to receive some welcome at the reception, but no. The person at the reception spoke nothing to me at all, just gave me the key, and that was it. Aren't they suppose to explain at least how I should access the room, where the the gym and the restaurant are, when they open and close, etc.?
I asked if breakfast is provided next morning (I knew it was included in my rate but wanted to confirm) and he said no. I was confused and asked again. In such circumstances, the staff is supposed to tell me I can purchase breakfast, get room service or go to a cafe nearby, right?
And of course, I went down to the restaurant next morning and ordered breakfast, and the kind waitress there checked my room number and told me my breakfast is actually free.
