Staff friendly and helpful. Bedroom and particularly the bathroom require a higher level of cleanliness and maintenance. Comfortable bed and good breakfast.

Lovely hotel friendly staff !! Only down full charged £3.10 for a Latte with Breakfast !! But had a lovely sleep and was nice and warm and loved the large bathroom with Bath and shower Great 👍👍

Relaxing

No lift.. kitchen extraction fan was noisy… on from about 0600 until about 2130. Tea/coffee making facilities not good… no coffee pods for machine available. Not expensive….. but

The room was slighted dated and needs a renovation, blinds falling down, holes in walls. For the price it needs work

Disappointing poor wi fi connection Only 1 teabag & 1 milk in the room more provided when requested We have stayed several times before but hotel standard seems to have dropped

Easy to find as it was on a main road.Checked in on time along with a few others so had to wait while one employee had to deal with guest who had no card. Our turn came and was dealt with in a proficient manner. The room was clean enough but the bathroom had cobwebs hanging from an open window which looked like they had been there quite some time.The shower was quite dangerous as I slipped and fell getting out .I pointed this out to the staff on duty who said there our bathmats provided if I had asked .As I did not know I was going to fall I did not ask . A notice could have been put near the shower that bath mats will be provided if you ask. Poor show management.

Great find - lovely rooms, simply made up and unfussy. Diligent and friendly staff on the front desk and in the restaurant. We liked The Kingscliff Hotel a lot and would return if we are in the area again.

Only stayed one night but a pleasant stay - rooms very comfortable - food in the restaurant very nice. Free parking at the rear of the hotel. Ideally situated for Walton, frinton and Clacton.

Lovely comfy bed so had a good nights sleep. The shower was ok but the mouldy mastic wasn’t a good look. The bin in the bathroom hadn’t been emptied.

I feel that modern hotels should incorporate at least one USB charging point with its electrical points. Windows not user friendly, yes i know its health & safety but should be able to adjust a little more and more easily. No fridge, would have been nice to be able to cool water or have ice, or keep a bit of fruit fresh. No safe.

Nice hotel but noisy! Some of the fittings were old. Staff were nice enough but wouldn't let us check in at 1330 saying check in was at 1400. Room was small with no air con.

The Best Place To Stay for Clacton
When we go to Clacton we almost always stay at the Kingscliff - the hotel is great, breakfast is stellar and the local very nice too.

Lovely hotel, friendly people
Friendly, helpful receptionists and a couple of my friends and I had Sunday lunch which was excellent - we were served by Charley and Sam who were so helpful and lovely. Thank you. I’ll be back again next weekend!
