Walt & Peg’s wonderful weekend!

The Wild Wisteria was a fantastic bed & breakfast! The owners were warm & welcoming the entire weekend! The property was beautiful & serene. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We loved hearing all about the history of the property. We truly had a wonderful weekend & hope to go back again soon!!!

We really enjoyed staying here. The owners were incredibly personable, and even provided a tour of the home and some history when we first arrived. The breakfast was amazing (best French toast I have ever had) and the property was beautiful under a blanket of snow.

We only started one night, so didn't have time to explore the property outside. Brad & Cindy were welcoming ! We loved the tour & history of the Inn.

The Inn is a nice place to go when you're tired of staying in one of those cookie cutter chain motels/hotels. Each room has it's own character and persona. The Inn's charm and hosts draw you in to make your stay a special time away from home. The bed was comfortable and the hot shower was a welcome after a long day visiting the areas many attractions. Breakfast is not to be missed. It's a wonderful way to start your day. My wife and I will be back. Thanks for a great stay Cindy and Brad!!

What a Great Find!

The Pennsbury Inn was easy to find, and what a find it was! The hosts go more than the extra mile to make sure that your stay is perfect. The Inn is very interesting, inviting, and unique. Breakfast was an absolute treat, a perfect ten. The room had everything I needed. The grounds offered a full range of relaxing opportunities: great views, beautiful setting, good walks. I will surely be back so that I can spend more time exploring a really great area to visit.

While the Inn dates back to the 1700’s it has been updated with modern conveniences. Our room was in the newest part of the building and our room was very spacious. The breakfast was homemade and water, coffee and snacks are available throughout the day. The stairs to the second floor are very narrow and steep. If you have trouble with stairs, please contact the owners directly.

Cindy and Brad were awesome!! They have done such a beautiful job fixing up the inn and it is beautiful. Breakfast is in such an open and inviting room... Great way to start our days!

Historic Country Inn

On the highway, but with a country atmosphere. Genial hosts, great breakfast. Terrific proximity to a number of historic sites and other points of interest which are worth a visit. New owners are enthusiastically undertaking an ambitious restoration of the inn and grounds. Will definitely return when we're in the area.

We can’t say enough about the grounds. They are amazing and so very peaceful and tranquil. Spread out so plenty of space to be away from others or together. Breakfast was so delicious. Such a helpful couple. They even lent me a sewing basket!

Very historic hotel. The rooms are small and facilities old, but they're very authentic. Beautifully maintained. Fantastic hosts. I'll definitely return.

A nice weekend getaway

A very charming Colonial house with a cozy vibe. The innkeepers are lovely people and very attentive. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.

close and quiet

it was a little hard to find but well worth the effort. the house is wonderful and sits in front of a huge backyard filled with fountains, gardens, trees, and chairs to sit and enjoy the quiet and beautiful scenery. the hosts go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. a great relaxed nights sleep and wonderful breakfast in the morning. what is not to like!!!

Welcoming and cozy bed and breakfast

We spent 3 nights here and would have gladly spent more. The couple who run this bed and breakfast are extremely welcoming and helpful, and the house is charming and cozy. Breakfast was delicious (and gigantic!) every day and we even got a pre-bed snack every night. There were so many books and magazines to read in front of the fire or in one of the many common rooms that I almost didn't want to go out and explore the area, but I was glad I did. The b and b is 10-20 minutes from the Brandywine River Museum, Chaddsford Winery, Delaware Art Museum, the Brandywine Battlefield, Kennett Square, and Longwood Garden. The only negative I could possibly come up with is the mediocre showers. Other than that, I highly recommend the Pennsbury Inn!

Beautiful grounds and gardens. Owner pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Recommended close restaurant that was great. Breakfast could have offered more options.

Winter at The Pennsbury

The inn is very welcoming with several cozy rooms to read a book by the fire and enjoy snacks. The hosts could not have made you feel more welcome. I left before breakfast but found a note on the staircase by my room to look in the refrigerator, where I found a paper bag loaded with homemade goodies, juice and cheese. Very Relaxing to be at this historic inn!

Pennsbury Inn, Chadd's Ford, PA

Stayed here in conjunction with a trip to see Longwood Gardens, which was only a few minutes drive away down US-1. It was delightfully cozy and historic, and the host and hostess were so very attentive to our every need or even wish. It was my birthday and they even included a tray with birthday message, cupcakes, and balloon. The bed also had a happy birthday pillow. :) The furnishings were top notch. The room was a tad too warm (we had hoped to use the fireplace insert, but that would have made it overly warm), but opening the window solved that. Flannel bed sheets were a factor, too. Loved the big hearth with a wood-burning fire in the breakfast room, and the scrumptious food. Snow still on the ground prevented us from fully appreciating what seemed to be a lovely garden view of the garden in back.
