My wife had just been released following outpatient abdominal surgery 1 hour before we checked in. She was told to find a motel near to the hospital in West Bloomfield rather than driving 300 miles to our home in Northern Michigan immediately. We drove home the following day.
The motel clerk, Alex, was fantastic, and gave us a handicapped room to ease her stay at no additional charge.
The only reason that I gave the motel a "4" rather than a "5", was because of the so-called breakfast - some muffins sealed in plastic, some cheap bars, and an empty coffeehouse machine; not even any orange juice. We had an actual breakfast at the Subway a quarter mile away.
