JacobI am sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. All because you said you were going to arrive late after 12.00am and you didn't arrive until much later on the second day and you wanted me to refund the first nights accommodation which I was not able to, particularly since you hadn't completed your address details correctly which said you came from USA whereas you came from Nottingham .UK.

Paul and his team were absolutely first class,we wanted somewhere off the beaten track and Strenneth certainly ticked all the boxes.Breakfast was delicious,rooms were cosy and it was like being at home from home. We had a great time and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside.

B&B needs some TLC … bed very uncomfortable , bedding old, pillows very soft, duet to small for bed, bathroom floor boards soft . However place full of character and breakfast fantastic all local produce

Hello anonymous.We are very sorry that you did not find everything to your satisfaction. I assume you stayed in Bedroom No1 and we have scheduled the bathroom floor for work this Autumn. We have had no previous complaints about the bed or duvet in fact the very opposite and our linen all comes from a reputable launderer.. If you had raised any of these points during your stay we would have immediately rectified those that we could.

Paul was an exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble. Offered advice on places to visit and took time to talk and made you feel very welcome. Room was Amazing, very clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was exceptional. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend.

fantastic B&B. Lovely rural location, very clean & tidy. Friendly owners who bend over backwards to help and make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough.

Run by lovely people who make a great breakfast featuring lots of local produce including eggs from their own hens. I was in room 3 which was a spacious twin with en-suite. Only downsides would be the shower in bath tub and thin walls.... I had to listen to the couple next door copulating, they may as well have been in my room! A bit awkward at breakfast....

Lovely countryside stay
Beautiful place wonderful breakfast friendly people the only drawback is that it is remote and a long way from amenities there are pubs and food available but nothing within walking distance. Will definitely stay again when not on business as the place itself is very nice indeed.

Hi Thank.you for your review. We are very rural and quiet. However we are only 2 miles from 4 pubs that all prepare evening meals, so we are not that remote and 2 miles doesn't seem very far to us.

Lovely place and people could not fault them. Only issue was the toilet is in the same room (no door) and right next to the bed and because they are very clean the room stinks of bleach. A bit of an odd set up but overall it's a cracking little place to stay

Quiet, clean, comfortable, great value
The house is well signposted and easy to find-even on a dark December night. The welcome was warm and the room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious with lots of home made or locally sourced ingredients. It was all an amazingly low price. Really good value.

Lovely quiet Retreat
A beautiful location in a quiet area, was met by a lovely lady who worked for the owners. So helpful and a commendable attitude that perhaps the owner could learn from. My original small single room (no. 5) had the bed in the toilet or the toilet in the bedroom ,take your pick !! Not something youd expect unless on remand. Thanks for changing me to an ensuite , despite wanting more money , yeah right Mr Grumpy.!!

Home from how you would like your own to be!
The staff were friendly and professional. The dining room was beautiful and cosy, as was the bedroom and despite some pre-stay concern there might actually be an airport there was none and it was a very quiet area. Breakfast was of high quality food cooked perfectly. If we find ourselves in the area again we will certainly stay there again.

very basic accomodation
paid for a single room with ensuite but instead got put in the bunkhouse with a shared bathroom.Bed was too small,was the bottom half of a bunk bed.Walls are paper thin,could hear the guy in the next room snoring.Wifi is limited to 100mb per day,if you want more you have to pay extra.Breakfast cost an extra 4 pounds but is worth it.Have stayed in better for less

Relax in the middle of the English Countryside
A nice hotel with very friendly staff in the middle of the English Countryside. The room was spacious and clean. An excellent breakfast with a wide choice. Good parking.

Would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances. The service was that of Faulty Towers. After agreeing to book the last double room for a family member under single occupancy tariff rate over the phone. The owner chose to refute such an agreement and we were overcharged by £100. The owner also attempted to take money off of the credit card on the second morning of our stay in direct breach of the terms and conditions of the booking. Overall it was a horrible experience which I will not be repeating.

The comments do not relate to a room booked on Expedia. The comments relate to another room booked separately. The room price quoted was for a double room and a double room was occupied and charged . The guest gave a card number that could not be authorised as there was insufficient funds.

Quiet location and a spectacular breakfast
USed it as a stayover during my roadtrip with my son. Location is very quiet, rooms are good, not exactly modern, but adequate for a building this age. The real surprise came at breakfast. All ingredients are locally sourced, or locally produced. Lookaout for the hand made apple juice and the home made jams.

A pleasant short stay allowing us to take the dog, (lots of walks in the area) Charming little self catering cottage with all you need. Wonderful rural so no mobile phone or broadband without using their network. Central east Anglia lots to do all round even the coast.

The Stay at the 'bates' motel 2
Very bad stay! My wife and I booked this B&B based on the stars but WE REGRET IT. The room had a bed that felt like it was broken, terrible. Dusty room with minimal to none care in cleanliness. The walls were so thin that we could hear the snoring of the next door guest and the child's cry during the night. The bathroom had no curtain or even rails which my wife felt very uncomfortable washing, NOT showering because there was no shower, she said she felt like someone was watching. We had a very bad experience and would NOT recommend this to anyone. Finding the hotel was a mission if not for a nice neighbor who helped us. Further to this we couldn't open the room curtains in the morning because there were men walking pass the window (no privacy). Very OVERPRICED, check closer and there other accommodations for 30% less, we found it when it was too lat. We fail to see how they got there 4 star rating.

All our bathrooms have curtains and this is the first time in 15 years that someone has complained about the wall thickness. Our rooms are cleaned every day I have no idea what the ref to Bates motel is must be something you Americans have on TV? Rooms on the ground floor can occasionally have people walking past . If you had mentioned your problems we could have tried to resolve them.

I used this as a one night stop over as a self employed sales agent but would consider going there with my wife as it's a great location,really quiet and peacefull and very reasonably priced as well.

A tucked away country retreat.
The Strenneth Guest House is located in an updated, converted 15th century farm house in the rural countryside. It is homey and pleasant and the hosts are welcoming. Rooms are clean, if small, and with a comfortable bed, lend themselves to a good night's sleep.

Had a lovely stay at Strenneth B&B , rooms were very clean , lovely garden area and decking to sit out on in the evening . I would highly recommend this accommodation.
