We didn’t see any staff as it was self check in due to the virus at the moment. The room was lovely and so was the view but it is badly needing painted. The walls on the stairs and the rooms have marks all over them and There’s a smell like sewage when you come in the bottom door. Breakfast was delivered in a basket ...croissants, jam, fruit juice, apples and yoghurts. I would not say it was worth £150 For the night !

Great communication throughout, easy check in process (Covid friendly). Great welcome by all the staff and management. Rooms were clean and tidy. Good breakfast. I would certainly return. 100 yards from the Old Course 18th green!

Pleasant enough stay for one night. The rooms were very small and basic. A few cob webs despite having a deep clean. No WiFi was given despite us sending an email. No one was on site and no facilities were open. They should have waited and opened everything together. Definitely over priced

Hotel is in a great location but do be careful when booking your room. Room 7 should never ever be classed as a double it is so small. No room for a wardrobe or even hanging rail. Only a few hooks fixed to the wall and a few coat hangers. Also a ventilation shaft outside the window was very noisy. I notice now we are not the first guests to make this complaint. This hotel is not cheap so would never stay here again

Super Lage. Für Golfer direkt am Golfplatz und für alle anderen in Fussweite zur Innenstadt und zur Universität. Sehr kleine aber nett eingerichtete Zimmer. Für die Ausstattung aber recht teuer. Sehr hilfsbereite Hausdame, die auch Sonderwünsche möglich macht. Super Frühstück.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und in einem Top Zustand. Sehr grosses Bad mit Fenster. Lage ist recht zentral, aber sehr laut. Direkt an der Kreuzung und über 2 Pubs, sodass es abends bis 23:30 sehr laut ist. Dann ist aber Ruhe. Das Personal ist super nett und sehr unkompliziert. Frühstück gibt es nur bis 8:30 Uhr

Good Room, Great Location to St. Andrews GC
We booked 2 rooms for one night at this property, one couple per room. Upon arriving, we parked at the lot at the bottom of the hill along the water. Be sure to pay for a generous amount of time. We were 30 minutes late to the lot and had a ticket for 30GBP. We checked in with the bar and proceeded to our rooms on the upper floors. The rooms were not large, but were comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size as well. Breakfast was in the pub downstairs and had a menu of hot options to choose from as well as fruits and pastries available on a table. It was a decent size breakfast, and no one in the group went hungry.

Golf Inn
While our stay was short, we enjoyed the room above the pub (note there is no elevator). No worries for us! Good food and service. Very close to St. Andrews Old Course; in fact you can see the Inn from the course.

Not suitable for the infirm or elderly as there is no lift and awkward stairs. Noise from street could be intrusive but room was clean and hot water supply good. Shame it was spoiled by the juke box being played loudly at 12.30 on the floor below (by staff!!!).

Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff. No elevator, but not too many stairs. You can hear things from the street at night, but it’s not too bad. Make sure to go to the Jigger Inn by the old course hotel for lunch and a Jigger Ale.

Great place to stay
Were lucky enough that we booked it in time of "hottest Easter in record", so weather was great. On top of that, room was big, cozy, and with great view! Would recommend this place to everybody!

We had very nice room on 3rd floor. Due to our age the 52 steps were a bit much but the view was very good.

A very enjoyable stay
A great hotel in a marvellous location. The large bed was really comfortable and the view from the room (No 8) was amazing. Tasty, well cooked breakfast, Good WiFi reception and plenty of TV channels. Friendly and helpful staff.

Ideal Location
Wonderful visit to St Andrews. The Golf Inn is perfectly located, steps from the Old Course and a short walk from the Castle. Room was very good, just a little steep staircase to climb. Nice bar and breakfast and wonderful hospitality. Free Public parking is just down the street and around the corner, a short walk. It was perfect for our one night stay.

A wee overnight stay and a change of seen. Well positioned and fine for a night or two. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Just Steps from the Old Course
Stayed 2 nights, Room was clean bathroom large especially in Europe. Breakfast was very good. Location is awesome close to Old Course and many pubs and shopping in town.

Small hotel close to beach and town centre
Bedroom - room very cold with single glazing, noisy, clean with Tunnocks teacakes. Hallway - wall light hanging off the wall with electric wires showing and supporting the light. Bar - friendly bar staff but would not serve alcohol to a 25 and 23 year old without I.D., very cold in bar with an electric heater beside our feet and electric extension cable below our feet present a tripping hazard. Breakfast - cold and poor, croissant not fresh with bread like centre and cold, haggis very poor quality, choice of fruit oranges only, coffee and tea warm, bacon, egg & sausage okay, however the Muffins were excellent. We are not fussy people but this one night stay was disappointing. St Andrews is a beautiful place, I will return to the town but not the hotel.

Good value for money stay
Some noise outside the window at the back of hotel, sounded like some sort of air conditioner with a noisy flap late into the evening but stopped during the night.

Great location
Perfectly comfortable and clean rooms, and the location was excellent - a spit from the beach and about 5 minutes from the town centre. There's lots of pay and display parking on North Street, about 1-2 blocks from the hotel. Would happily stay here again.

Close to Old Course
Great staff at the Golf Inn made our stay excellent. Linzi and Ben made our trip excellent and provided excellent service for our bucket list trip. This place is affordable and a block away from the Old Course. You are also within walking distance from bars and restaurants. If / when I come back to St. Andrews, I plan on staying there again.
