Check-in was simple. We had our passports and Covid passes ready for inspection, which made it simple.
The bedroom was good, though on entering, it was cold. A phone call to reception remedied this, as a very pleasant young lad arrived immediately with an electric radiator and an apology as he said he had forgotten to turn on the radiator in the bedroom. In a few minutes, room was warm!
The bed was comfortable and clean, with extra pillows available. The bathroom also was spotlessly clean.
A tip for anyone who is a light sleeper - the rooms at the front of the hotel look out unto the main street, so the sound of the traffic can be quite loud.
We didn't eat lunch or dinner at the Valley, but we did have breakfast. This is the only failing we found during our one night stay. There was good fresh fruit, and the wheaten bread was lovely, but the cooked breakfast was quite poor. The microwaved scrambled eggs particularly were not at all appetising to look at, nor eat.
This was unfortunate as we had enjoyed our stay until then.
