On the subject of not having your room cleaned...During the week of Christmas we had some of our people out of town due to the holidays and spending time with family, but the main issue was that I had 3 of my four housekeepers and 2 of my front desk staff out with the flu. It's just really frustrating to see reviews like this when we were spread so thin and to insinuate that there are underlying issues because of it? I'm the General Manager. I'm sure you remember me as I gave you several tips on things to do in the area and we talked a few times both on the phone and in person. One of the many things I take pride in with this property is that our turnover rate has been almost non existent. In a world where all you hear about is that nobody wants to work, that's one issue we've not had to deal with all that much in this post pandemic world. I was literally dividing my time between watching the front desk and cleaning rooms myself just to get our arrivals cleaned on Christmas Day. Believe me when I say it wasn't an ideal situation. There are several properties that stopped cleaning stay-overs altogether after Covid, and we take a lot of pride in the fact that, that's not the norm around here. On another note...you were given a discount. Before you checked out you came to the front desk and when you presented us with these issues we gave you a discount for 1 night. If I remember correctly you pre-paid for 5 nights through Expedia and you reserved 1 night through us separately. We don't have the ability to go back in and discount Expedia reservations because you pay them directly. Unfortunately you have to take that up with them, but we did discount 1 night and informed you of this. As far as the breakfast goes...we can do better. The food doesn't go as fast around the holidays because folks are spending time with family, so the breads may have been sitting out for longer than normal causing it to get stale. Again, we appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing you again!
