Unser Aufenthalt war wunderbar und hat gefühlt 5 Sterne verdient. Im Detail, könnte die Küche irgendwann ein upgrade gebrauchen und das Poolzubehör wie Sonnenschirme auch. Alles sauber alles bestens. tolle Lage, tolle Aussicht. Liebe Leute. Super Kinderbetreuung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super apprezzato lo spirito della struttura all'insegna del relax, ottimo anche il ristorante con prodotti tipici del territorio e la spa il cui accesso su prenotazione la rende un posto davvero tranquillo dove rilassarsi con una vista magnifica. Apprezzatissima anche la localizzazione del nostro casolare in mezzo a viti e ulivi. Uniche pecche il bar che chiude troppo presto la sera, rendendo impossibile bere un cocktail dopo cena e le condizioni di manutenzione della piscina del casolare dove ho alloggiato, Casanuova, da rivedere. Eccetto questi aspetti è una struttura fantastica e il personale è super cordiale e disponibile.

Great place to relax and recharge!
The reception was extremely helpful with all our queries even before we got to the property and really helped make sure we had a comfortable stay. The apartment came with amazing views and the basic necessities. The pool was a very nice size and kept clean for us to enjoy. We also booked a horse riding lesson which was with a great instructor and I’d highly recommend a ride if you have the time. Thanks for the hospitality!

As an Italian, it pains me to write a bad review of a property in my beautiful country,but this place is really just a glorified hostel. Issues we had: -no water for an entire morning until early afternoon (we couldn’t take showers, clean dishes, prepare food, etc.) -our stove didn't work (only fixed 2 days later) -the outlet for our fridge did not work (later resolved by providing us w/an extension cord) -the wifi was terrible, could barely connect and if we did it, it lasted no more than a few min -no power for an entire day (we came back to no electricity and large puddles of water in our living room that were coming from the fridge. We lost all of the food we had in the fridge) -farm house was simply outdated, we fully understand traditional Tuscan charm, but this was not it -pool was not clean at all (after using the fishnet for more than an hour (not even an exaggeration) it was still filthy, we gave up and never even got to enjoy the pool) -hotel restaurant is pricey (which is expected, you pay for convenience) but the food was utterly disappointing. There are local restaurants near by which are MUCH MUCH better -they give you ONE roll of toilet paper, for 9 nights, then you need to supply your own…even airbnb’s give you toilet paper, but not this "RESORT&SPA" Hotel said they could compensate us for issues we faced during our stay, only to follow up when we got back home and now they refuse. Expedia also tried to contact them for 4 months to no avail. Just terrible.

Die Lage ist durchwegs schön, allerdings kommt es darauf an, in welchem Haus bzw. Wohnung man untergebracht ist, da die Zufahrtstrasse zur benachbarten Hapimag-Anlage teilweise vorbeiführt und dadurch der Angestellten-Morgenverkehr bemerkbar ist. Der Zustand unserer Wohnung wäre teilweise sanierungsbedürftig, was jedoch mit der alten Bausubstanz und damit verbundener Feuchtigkeit zusammenhängen dürfte. Die Wohnung war oberflächlich sauber, jedoch nicht rein, allerdings waren die Betten und die Bettwäsche (sowie Handtücher) o.k. und sauber. Der Pool war ebenso sauber, allerdings lag ein Handtuch bei unserer Ankunft (der Farbe nach zu schließen schon länger) auf einer Liege und dies blieb bis zu unserer Abfahrt so. Die Anlage wird scheinbar sehr spartanisch betreut, man könnte es fast als etwas "lieblos" bezeichnen.

Enjoyable stay but some maintenance required
Enjoyed the place and had a few problems but the staff were very helpful and sorted all issues out. Some parts are dated and in need of upgrades, especially the driving range and clubs!

assolutamente da evitare!!
cercavo sul vostro sito una struttura che offrisse la spa. essendo flaggata in verde e non recando la scritta "servizio con supplemento" come altri della lista, ho dato per certo fosse inclusa. invece niente è incluso: questa struttura offre solo l'appartamento completamente sguarnito di tutto. nessun segno di accoglienza, dalla carta igienica alla caldaia spenta, al gas chiuso, all'accendigas non funzionante, alla pulizia non appropriata. ho quindi chiesto almeno mi venissero offerti due ingressi. ce ne è stato concesso uno di coppia e a prezzo di essere trattati come ladri. la wifi non prende e tendenzialmente nemmeno il bancomat. nel mezzo del nulla assicuratevi di portarvi qualsiasi cosa vi serva perché il market oltre che sguarnito molto caro, fatica ad accettare il bancomat per l'assenza di linea. non la consiglio assolutamente! angela

Kommer helt sikkert igen!
Fantastisk ophold med alt, hvad man kan ønske sig. God service. Romantiske farmhouse. "Egen" pool - delt med fem andre lejligheder. God mad på stedets egen restaurant. Faktiske heste på rideskolen. (Husk lukkede sko og lange bukser, hvis du er nybegynder). Husk at besøg Pisa, Siena og Lucca. Og husk en god kniv, et ekstra spækbræt, viskestykker og karklude til køkkenet. Linned behøver I ikke at tage med.

Lovely setting
Apartments were nice and clean. Beds were very hard. Wall were thin if you had someone staying in the apartment above you could hear everything. Overall a beautiful setting and friendly staff. Maintenance were quick to sort problems. Our apartment did not benefit from free WiFi as the signal didn't stretch that far so we had to sit outside to use it.

Great countryside retreat in the Tuscan hills
Lovely apartment with phenomenal views. Pool was lovely and clean. This a a great place to go if you are looking for a quiet holiday off the beaten track. There are a few nice villages and towns nearby, Montaione is about a 10 minute drive and is lovely. Pisa, Florence and Siena are around an hour (ish).

Stunning location and comfortable apartment
Castellare di Tonda is situated in the most stunning surroundings and in a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The apartment is basic but spacious and the pool area very comfortable. All the facilities met our needs, though we missed a balcony or private garden and a less noisy airconditioning, but everything else was perfect. We will definately consider Castellare di Tonda if comming back to Tuscany.

Les appartements sont dans un cadre magnifique ou le dépaysement est garantie!! Le personnel est très bien, certains parlent le français. Ils sont très efficaces ils interviennent très rapidement ! Ce que j'aurais en critique c'est que un petit rafraîchissement des appartements ne ferait pas de mal... Nous étions dans le Casanova en rez de chaussée Nous n'avons pas trouvé la nourriture du restaurant extraordinaire. Exemple: leurs tomates mozzarella la mozzarella n'était pas la bonne mozzarella di buffala elle était caoutchouteuse dommage!

Toscane is a fantastic arena to visit. The landscape, the food,the wine the old villages, Pisa, florence Lucca and Sienna.

Great Location - attractive value for money
Great value for money. Very good restaurant, nice appartment, small bar with nice waiter but a greater vararity could be nice (fancy non-alcoholic drinks maybe). Small shop for last minute shopping. Nice horse riding opportunities.

Wunderschöne Landschaft
Mein Mann und ich verbrachten 4 wunderschöne Tage im Castellare di Tonda. In der Wohnung hatten wir alles was wir benötigten, die Küche ist auch sehr gut eingerichtet und eignet sich bestens zum kochen! Nur schade verfügen nicht alle Wohnungen über WLAN wie beschrieben, jedoch ist es an der Bar vorhanden und reicht völlig aus. Die Anlage befindet sich inmitten der schönen Landschaft der Toscana und lädt zum entspannen ein. Einziger negativer Punkt, bis zu einer Schnellstrasse braucht man mind. 30 Minuten, was Ausflüge deutlich verlängert!

Sehr in die Jahre gekommen,viel Renovierungsstau
Die Lage ist ganz nett , die Unterkunft ist sehr einfach , im Schlafzimmer sind die feuchten Wände übergepinselt , genauso im Bad .Die Einrichtung ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt. Im Apartment gibt es KEIN W - LAN ! nur an der Rezeption , welche gut 1 km entfernt ist .Das TV Gerät im Apartment funktionierte nicht. Reinigungsmittel sind keine vorhanden,für das Bad oder in der Küchenzeile, einen Reinigungsdienst gibt es nicht , frische Handtücher bekommt man nur auf Nachfrage ,an der Rezeption. Der Wellnessbereich ist ganz nett gemacht , doch das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht akzeptabel. Auch im gesamten Außenbereich ist zu erkennen , das die Saison dort vorbei ist.

Great place to wind down
If you like to relax, sunshine, nice swim in your own private villa pool, good wine and food and to take some nice city exkursions to nearby Florence and Pisa then this id the place to be! We got the best of o Both quiet time in our villa and to use all the resorts perks incl a nice small spa. We travelled 3 families and had mezzacosta villa all to our selfs. For best italian dinner we ever had we went down the Hill to casa masi. The best wood fired oven pizza we ever had was just nearby in antoni in a small village just before montaione. Enjoy!

Idyllische Apartmentanlage im Herzen der Toskana
Lage und Umgebung: inmitten der Toskana gelegen - eine Autostunde nach Florenz, Pisa bzw. Siena, 25 Minuten nach San Gimignano und Volterra (Anfahrt über relativ kleine und schmale Straßen!) umgeben von Weinhängen und Olivenhainen, abends idyllische Ruhe Unterkunft und Ausstattung: Anlage besteht aus 12 Bauernhöfen (wir waren im Hof "Fornace" untergebracht) es gab zwei großzügige Schlafzimmer, einen Wohnbereich mit Küche (dieser fiel etwas klein aus) Selbstversorgung war möglich und sinnvoll, wobei die Küchenausstattung besser sein könnte man kann aber auch im zugehörigem Restaurant gut essen Service: zuverlässig und hilfsbereit, man sprach englisch, teilweise auch deutsch

Great place to visit and stay for a few days
Our expectations were low because of the price; however, this place was excellent. The apartments included access to the horse stables, spa, church, and included complimentary wine and fire wood for the fireplace. The staff led us to the apartments and came inside and even made the roll-away bed for us. I would definitely stay here again.

Gutes Hotel in ruhiger, idyllischer Lage
Bei der Buchung baten wir um ein Appartement mit Terrasse. Leider erhielten wir nur ein Appartement im 1. OG, dafür mit 2 Schlafzimmern, die wir als Pärchen aber nicht benötigten. Auf Anfrage konnten wir am nächsten Tag in ein einzelnen kleines Häuschen umziehen. Wir hatten unser eigenes Reich, mit blickgeschützter Terrasse, mussten allerdings deutliche Platzeinbußen hinnehmen. Das Bad war sehr eng und nur allein benutzbar. Auch der Wohn-/Essbereich waren eher klein. Doch die Ruhe, der Blick und die Nähe zum Pool sowie zum Haupthaus entschädigten. Bestehende Mängel im Appartement wurden nach Mitteilung der Rezeption sofort behoben. Allerdings zeigten sich bei einem Sturzregen in der letzten Nacht zwei undichte Stellen im Dach - zum Glück nicht im Schlafzimmer... Insgesamt haben wir eine engenehme Urlaubswoche in Castellare di Tonda verbracht.

Stunning scenery but rustic,basic accommodation
Location is very rural so sight seeing isnt easy in my opinion.The various Tonda farm buildings are spead out so a car is a must and i would insist on an air con flat in summer.I dont think there are many that have it.The flat in `La Casina building' was at least 30 mins walk from reception,cafe & little shop via a narrow country lane.It was dingy,sparse and not clean so we moved to a hotel after a week. The price was cheap though so i couldnt expect 4* more like 2* here.Pool & scenery great though. WIFI only around reception which is just a desk no tables or chairs there but you can sit in the open air cafe to use your laptop.Restaurant/cafe expensive & average food compared to others in the area.On site activites pony riding lessons from age 6 is a great professional run school specialising in Western riding not English,kids club nr the riding we didnt use,very basic golf,tennis exposed entirely to the sun so not easy in the heat,cooking demonstrations. SPA fantastic if only they upgraded the rooms to the same standard i would return.Nearest town Montaonie is pleasant but 10 minutes drive. Everywhere else is at least an hours drive. Mosquitoes & bugs were everywhere but more prolific here due to being deep in the countryside. All in all i wasnt really on a budget so didnt have to put up with the basicness but if you are then its a good bet.For self caterers there is only a hob so take a one pot cooking book. On a plus the staff spoke good English and were helpful.

Castellare di Tonda - Apartments
We had never booked a holiday in Italy before; the reception we received from the staff and people in was extremely positive. The apartments are spacious, clean and the restaurant makes a convenient place to get a snack, lunch or evening meal. The countryside and towns around the location are truly wonderful - but be prepared to drive. Driving however is rewarded by stunning landscape, towns (like Lucca, Firenze, San Gimignano, etc.) and friendly accommodating people who are very service minded and helpful. We found no language barrier and only found people trying to help us - which was an extra bonus. We would certainly recommend Castellare di Tonda to our friends and will certainly be back for a another holiday

God beliggenhed - slidte værelser
Castellare di Tonda dækker over et temmelig stort område centralt beliggende i Toscana. Man kan komme til at bo ind til 2 km væk fra de centrale bygninger med restaurant og aktiviteter. Lejligheden vi fik var rigelig stor. Men det var tydeligt, at det var nogle år siden den var blevet renoveret sidst. Eks. Var der mug på loftet i brusenichen og mange synlige revner i loft og vægge.
