great and affordable hotel to stay at!! the restaurant downstairs is super nice and convenient. great to have AC in the room too as it gets sooooo hot in flores. the view from the room was beautiful and the sunsets were great! only feedback is that the wifi was really bad from the room and wouldn’t connect. other than that great stay!!

Great Place Great Price
I really liked this hotel, they put me in a room on top of the roof overlooking the lake. Everything is in super close walking distance, it was clean and it had air conditioning.

Loved this little island, and this hotel. The views on the lake from the rooms are magical, the staff was awesome, and the restaurant on the ground floor made delicious local dishes. I would love to stay here again.

Last stop on a solo Guatemala trip
I really enjoyed my stay - I had a room on the third floor that opened up to the rooftop terrace. I enjoyed sitting on the roof listening to music, drinking beers & enjoying the sunset. It was nice that the hotel was right on the water. The room was very clean with great air conditioning, a pretty comfortable bed and soap/toiletries were provided. My only issue was that one morning when I woke up to take a shower there was no water coming from either the sink or shower head. I also had problems with hot water on two days. This was my last stop in Guatemala so I was somewhat used to this but it was a bit frustrating. My last night there was no hot water and I just decided to wait until the morning for a shower, but it was the same situation in the morning. I did finally let the front desk aware of this which they attempted to fix but it was too late since I was shortly checking out, I do recognize that I should have informed them of the problem earlier. Other than this issue, I did enjoy my stay at this hotel.

Excelente atención y servicios
Increíble la atención en el hotel. Nos dejaron entrar antes de la hora estipulada. En el restaurante estuvieron muy amables y atentos a cada una de nuestras peticiones. Volvería otra vez. El cuarto también bastante cómodo y amplio.

Hotel has a good location and nice terrace. The room on the top floor has a great view but the ceiling is really low and not good for anyone tall. We were moved to a new room but the AC unit barely worked and was extremely loud.

Good staff but rooms could be better
the hotel is very well located. My room had a light of the street that was installed on my window. Since the bed was near the window and the curtain did not close completely, there was a light 24/7 inside my room. Shower was ok but the water stayed there in bathroom for long time. Staff is very nice and they arranged a tour to tikal and taxis to airport that worked well.

Delicious drinks and wonderful sunset view
Room was comfortable though the weather was hot. AC worked great, but took a while to cool down the room. Food at the restaurant in the hotel was fantastic! We came back multiple times for breakfast, drinks, and dinner. Staff was very helpful and took care of our bookings to go see Tikal. Sunsets from the rooftop were also beautiful

Upon arrival around 10:30pm, the person checking us in didn’t speak English, so we had some struggles communicating about payment. He was very understanding and let us wait until the next day to sort it out though. Everything was clean and the restaurant downstairs is excellent!

The property had a beautiful view of the lake. The rooms were clean and was a great place to crash for the night. Flores was amazing and loved it.

A great place to visit and the location is great. A easy located at in front of the lake. A safe place to walk at night and unbeatable price for the one bedroom.

excellent clean comfortable lakeside hotel
great hotel in an ideal location on rhe lake. great shower, a/c worked great and staff were very helpful and cheery. only issue was that wifi wasn't great at times. staff speak great English and food was excellent if a tad pricey. who knew I would find excellent carpaccio in Guatemala!!! camarones al ajillo was fabulous.

Very nice, very clean, very minimalist in Flores
I stayed in Flores during a trip to Tikal. The hotel was great for the price. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good. The A/C was good. The internet was good. The staff was very helpful. Please be advised the hotel and room are "basic, minimalist, and NOT luxurious" but very, very, nice for a few days if you are visiting Tikal. I would stay here again!!!

Casa Amelia was easy to locate, staff was friendly and helpful and it had a killer location on the promenade. The restaurant had good prices and tasty food.

Third visit & upgraded to Lake View room. Lovely location, good restaurant & pleasant rooftop terrace. The side rooms are not so fancy. No electricity whole day upon arrival but was town issue. Hotel is small, friendly and basic in best part of town.

Excellent location and staff
Stayed here 4 nights and it was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and smiling staff both in the hotel and in the restaurant. Taxi from Flores airport is GTQ 30 (recommended) or GTQ 20 if shared. I stayed in room 104 which had beautiful lake view. The AC was rather loud, but I realized that It took away the noice from the street, so it was ok.

Panoramic View!
Initially I was a little concerned after booking, as I booked a double & twin bed room, and Expedia sent the confirmation stating I booked only a single twin bed (double occupancy). Thankfully, this must have been a glitch as upon checking in it did have a double and single bed. I was lucky enough to get a room on the very top of the Terrace, which was the same price as a standard room. Not sure how to book this room intentionally, but I would highly recommend! I visited the hotel down the street where my friends all stayed, while the rooms were a bit more modern, pool, and came with free water bottles, but it was 3x more expensive. For the price, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great Place to Stay
Hotel was in a good area, close to shops, restaurants and water. Restaurant had good food and food came out in a timely manner unlike another restuarant a few doors down which took 55 minutes for a pasta dish and falafels. Hotel staff was great for booking tours and transportation. Only complaint was the bed was very stiff, but other than that everything was great.

Por primera vez en Flores, fue toda una experiencia, la gente del lugar es muy amable y dispuesta a ayudar. Casa Amelia realmente me hizo sentir muy bien, hicieron arreglos en mi habitación para que yo me sintiera más cómoda. El restaurante es muy bueno, un desayuno típico riquísimo y una cena sabrosísima. Nice Hotel, affordable
They are very nice people, Lewis and Julia. Lewis is a very good cook. He took me to my dental appointments at an affordable price. I got to meet a lot of people there from other countries.
