The Authors of Key West Guesthouse provided yet another wonderful couple of days in the heart of Key West. It was a delight to be back in the beautiful surroundings; the staff were friendly and very accomodating plus the way the proper is locked completely after hours gives great safety and peace of mind when traveling alone. Love this place and already looking forward to my next visit..

Location was nice. We didn’t get a chance to try breakfast. Balcony was nice. Room was clean and today. Bathroom was really tiny but clean.

The property & room was very clean, the staff was very helpful and even accommodating when we arrived earlier than the check in time (3:00 PM). Pool was clean and quiet. overall would stay here again. check in and check out was hassle free. the majority of things are walkable if not an uber or taxi is available for less than $10 to most places.

We stayed in the Hemingway cottage. Cute and clean. Great little kitchen. Had everything we needed. Comfortable for 4 people for a night or weekend getaway. A little farther walk to Duval than we expected but only a short Uber ride if don't want to walk late at night.

it was a beautiful place to stay. liked the location. Not a very welcoming staff when we came in. didn't like all the ants that invaded the bed. parking was awful, sorry I wouldn't recommend this place because of parking, the bugs and one not so friendly staff member. It was beautiful loved the hot tub.

Very nice place to spend 2.5 days in Key West. We used the pull out queen sofa bed, it would have been more comfortable with a newer mattress. Other than that the place was great!

We loved this space. We rented the Hemingway cottage and it was perfect for our family. The shared spaces were really cute and well taken care of. Not everything was in perfect condition but it fit the vibe of the island. Walkable to various points of interest in Old Town but not right in the middle of it. Note: The area was quiet but the cottage got noise from the ice station right on the other side of the bathroom.

Quiet area, 15-20 mins walk to the seaport and Duval street. Good continental breakfast. Pool/sauna was convenient. Room on the street might be a bit noisy in the morning, ask for a backyard room if possible.

We enjoyed staying in the Williams room. It is a separate little house on the property. Would definitely recommend for longer stays. Only downside was no real place to unpack and hang items. Bathroom shower was a bit small. But we made due and enjoyed our stay. Staff was great.

Authors is a great place to stay! Rooms are clean and perfect for a visit to Key West. My only suggestion is to add additional lighting for at night. We had a hard time getting key in gate and walking to our room as there was no light near gate and very limited light once onto property. Easy fix. Some solar motion lights would do the trick. Great area for sitting outside to play games or visit with others in your group. Really enjoyed our stay!

We loved the overall charm of the property and surrounding area. The Wilder room is a nice size but the bathroom is small. We didn’t love the customer service and hospitality. Management was rigid, dismissive, and inconsiderate. Would not recommend.

Joli petit hotel avec possibilité de vous garer dans la rue. Grande chambre avec une litterie confortable et une table et chaises à l'intérieur pour vos repas. Emplacement tout de même donnant sur une rue très passante avec beaucoup de circulation et sans compter les coqs. Accueil assez sec du personnel, petit déjeuner très très simple. L'hotel le plus cher de notre séjour et qui est loin d'en valoir son prix.

Front desk agent has horrible attitude, gave us one word answers and turned away from us before we even finished speaking. Offered us no help and attitude was so snubby. We sre paying customers, I would have expected he at least treat us with some respect.Room was small and poorly maintained, no nice restaurants near by to eat at.

C'est vrai que les murs ne sont pas epais, mais laeroport est off de 10:00 à 8:00. Pour des européens avec jet lagg ce n'est pas un problème. Deco des chambres et qualité de la literie tres bien. Propreté très bien aussi. Parking gratuit possible dans les rues adjacentes. Tres bon rapport qualité prix aux vues des tarifs de l'hébergement à Key West

The place is centrally located in the residential area. In a message from the management, the check-in hours were listed as 3 pm to 5:30 pm, but when we arrived at 5:05 pm, the office was already closed. Our room was upstairs with dangerous steep stairs. The room was clean but the bathroom had no place even for our tooth-brushes. They could have easily added a small table next to the sink. Breakfast was coffee, cereal, and tiny muffins.

This property was well maintained and the room was clean and very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and had a huge closet in the room which added to the space. The bathroom was small but accomodated us just fine. The continental breakfast had a variety of options. We stayed in a room at the front of the house so there was a lot of road noise. Also there was a wild rooster close to the house that crowed throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper, this is probably not the best accomodation for you.

Location pretty good. Room was good but the bathroom is very very small. Just expect the smallest bathroom you could imagine. Beside that nice property and the best is the big size jacuzzi. The temperature is perfect. Not scalding hot andcthe jets are powerful. We love that. Thank you

This hotel was so quaint and peaceful. It really showcased the true charm of Key West. It's walkable to all of the main things in downtown Key West. Neighborhood was safe. Parking was good. I can't wait to stay again.

When we arrived, Shane was very very helpful and gave us a lot of good information about the area. The facility is very clean and beautiful. The location is good and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
