We cannot say enough great things about this place! The location is perfect, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure we felt valued and comfortable, the fresh made daily breakfast was great and the waiter was super fun, our place felt more like an apartment than a hotel, the beach area was nicely kept, the kayaks and boats were fun......We could go on and on!

Very dirty and not kept up. The restaurant that is there, is not part of the hotel. 2 of the rooms are located under the restaurant that is loud and noisy late, as well as early in the morning. The property is lacking upkeep, and not worth the money per night. We moved to a different hotel our second night.

This was a surprising good value. The buildings were old keys style but the rooms and restaurants was modern and updated. Much larger rooms than expected. Beach was great and very well maintained. Staff was great. Checked on before the office closed and again in the morning. Walls are thin between living rooms but the bedrooms were separated so neighbors didn't wake us. Lots of kayaks and bikes. We were pleasantly surprised the whole time.

The unit (#23) was clean and fresh. It is close to US 1 where you can hear the traffic albeit at a low volume. We got used to it after a while. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. The breakfast was actually quite good but limited -- blueberry pancakes, French toast or eggs with sausage and bacon. My only suggestion to the staff was to open the breakfast earlier (e.g,. 6am) instead of 8am because I noticed a lot of people were up and away for their activities. We had to be at our dive center by 7:30 every morning. But otherwise, I really liked the property especially for the price.

If you are looking for an old-fashioned keys place, this is it! Quaint, small, quiet and with a nice brach area, pool, hot tub and amenities. Beautiful ocean views from our private deck. Free breakfast was truly breakfast, 5 choices made to order. We had use of kayaks and bicycles, with the bike trail across the street. Despite being on the highway, from our deck, pool area and beach area, we did not hear any traffic. The staff texted when our room eas ready, and to check on us throughout our stay. Definitely recommend and would stay again

We had an amazing stay! Our room was right near the pool. We enjoyed having breakfast included with our stay! The waiter was friendly, fantastic and very efficient! The office texted every day to check and see if we needed anything! They were very helpful and friendly!

Very disappointed Do Not stay here, paid $360 to stay at a “resort” that had no WIFI which was suppose to be repaired but was not The door to our room did not lock unless you used the deadbolt, the bottom lock was falling off, could only give us one key because they only had one key to the deadbolt which was the only way to lock the door, but not to worry they said it is a “low crime area” There is no air conditioning in the bedroom, only front room, again paid $360 for the night shameful Expedia won’t be using you again!

Excellent location & beautiful beach. Felt like old school Keys. Very peaceful, quiet & relaxing. Full breakfast was good. The resort itself is a bit worn and tired…needs some TLC and maintenance. Cleaning could be better. Arrived to dirty sheets and lack of hot water. The staff immediately corrected both issues. Very friendly staff. Dinner at the Hideaway Cafe was excellent!!

Pros: Pool, beach area, available kayaks, bicycles. Free breakfast was a nice touch. Nice location in Marathon. Staff checked in every day by text to see if we needed anything. Having a refrigerator was nice. Cons: Old buildings, no central air. One window unit and a 1970's dehumidifier that ran loud and we had to empty constantly. Extremely dated and uncomfortable furniture, bed and pillows. Missing light bulbs, dirty kitchen, hardly anything usable.

When we first got there we were supposed to have a king suite. They had given it to someone else, so they put us in a queen that they use for only emergency situations. We had to fix the door to make it lock I had to ask for pans they were filthy when they gave them to me I wouldn't use them on my outside grill it was a big cockroach on the outside of our door. Had to ask for a hair dryer. Had to ask for an umbrella had no kitchen table in our room the other rooms did. They serve you breakfast you get two eggs one toast and one piece of sausage half the time they don't have coffee cups the place is filthy and the restaurant server was very nice and the lady at the front desk. They tryed to fix that the fact the gave are room away. Need to clean up around building refrigerator sitting outside and furniture. Area is in Grassy Key not Marathon. Nothing walking distance. Over priced for the shape for what they offer and condition the place is in.

Wonderful View! Great updates. Great location!
This is the second time we have stayed here. The best part about this is how it basically has its own beach and it is so quiet and peaceful since it juts out into the water a bit and has unobstructed views of the sunrise and set. We rented the same spot we had before, the ocean view, which also has a balcony to sit on and enjoy the view and sun. The complimentary breakfast is so wonderful as you sip coffee and eat while overlooking the water and enjoying the breeze. The staff are very sweet. No complaints about them or the condition of the hotels (lots of updates look like they happened since we were here two years ago). Only frustration was we rented the room that sleeps 6 --we had 4 adults-- but there weren't enough coffee cups in the kitchenette. I wish they would just place a few more dishes there for the guests to use.

The location and setting were wonderful. The staff were great and responsive. The overall condition of the dwelling units was poor at best based on the price per night. Specifically, no ability to hang anything other than towels in the bathroom, or set down luggage other than the floor. Ice trays would be a nice inexpensive touch.

I’m rarely THAT customer but for your benefit I feel I need to be. We travel frequently and do not require a lot or expect a lot unless I’m paying a premium. Before securing our reservation, I did my due diligence which turned out to be very misleading. The hotel location is ideal for traveling the keys. The pool and hot tub looked nice. The beach is beautiful but the water isn't easily accessible. There are large rough rocks lining the beach along the water. There were several piles of scrap lumber/demolition around the grounds. Parking is not ideal. They hired a couple to paint the fences. Everything around the fences was white. Trees, walkways, flowers, mulch…and no wet paint signs (which we found out the hard way). The room was very small, smelly and HOT. They were using a portable AC unit to cool the room that only blew hot air. I was able to repair the wall unit. After and hour, we had cool air. The room was dirty, cracks in the wall, extension cords running to the fridge, fake flower pedals under the bed covered in dirt and hair, bathroom fixtures falling out of the wall. BUT the shower was very nice! The door to the room wouldn’t close unless it was slammed very hard. The bolt lock didn’t lock. Free breakfast: We are easy going and take most issues in stride, especially when it’s included. After a couple bites of out bfast my gf made a comment that summed up the entire stay. All she said was, “I think they pay people to give them great reviews”.

It’s a little bit old but they are doing renovations all day in fact. I would ask if they are planning any construction during your stay at this location. It is a great spot though a little private beach.

Great location! Right ocean front. We got special treats: fresh coconut from the coconut trees on the property. Fresh coconuts juice is sooo tasty! The only thing is the noise from neighbor room. You can even hear what they talk !!

We were running late, very late. They ensured we had immediate access to our room with no hassel or disturbance. They sent a text to us late morning to see if there was anything we needed for the room. No knocks or phone calls. The property hosts a clean wonderful beach with just a stricking view of the ocean. And last we took advanatge of the breakfast. When we sat down the waiter was entrenched with a very large family with kids. The cook brought me a carafe of coffee ( yes I needed that), took our order and all served in the time that the poor guy with the family had just finished up. My eggs perfect.

We had a 2 bedroom suite, 2 bed/1.5 baths with small kitchenette. Space was excellent. Beach was nice and quiet. Breakfast is part of your $40 resort fee and is cooked to order. Nice breakfast options but on the last day, the resort was filling up and they only have one person working so it took a long time. Office staff is pretty rude but the employees that are out and about are friendly. They didn't let us know that construction was going on at the resort and they worked on our suite while we were in it trying to relax. No apology was offered. Pool area is nice.

I actually stayed here to be right next to the Hideaway Café restaurant! I had such a lovely dinner and it was so convenient to walk over to dinner. You have to get the hogfish francaise!
