Less than impressed
Checked in, crying baby behind desk.. but lady was nice! Get to room, set our bag down, bed falls off the frame. Beds were extremely squeaky and uncomfortable. Outdated decor. Overall not impressed. Should probably cost half of what it does.

Upon check in room not ready. Stains on carpet. Needs major updates. Bed very uncomfortable. Mattress needs replaced. Breakfast was horrible. Cold eggs and sausage. Equipment not working properly. No coffee maker in room.

Should be closed down
Shower curtain rod was not attached to walls and would have caused injury with any movement. Bedspread was covered in holes. Bed UNCOMFORTABLE, worn out. The hot breakfast is literally ONLY A WAFFLE MACHINE so don't fall for the HOT BREAKFAST ad. Local food is too far to walk. Industrialized area.

Nice motel.
My stay was good. The check in went very smooth. The clerk was very nice. The hotel was clean and well maintained.

Supposed to have breakfast. Only had sausage and raisin bran. Food vendor did not show up. Staff could care less.

Warning to people booking on this property. READ THE REVIEWS. I didnt do my assignment and didn't read reviews. Upon entering I can already tell that this hotel is poor in cleanliness. It has some sort of smell. I proceeded to check in hoping that the room will be clean. As soon as i entered the non-smoking room that I booked, It smelled like a mixture of cigarette and dust. I could not breathe! I looked around the corners of the carpet and the wall and you can see the dust. It looks like they never bothered to vacuum the corners. The room looks very old and it seems as though it was a room that used to be smokers room and they just changed and called it non smoking but actually never removed all the smoke damage to the walls and carpets. Also the wall is like a mustard yellow and there was a hole and they just patched it with white paint. I tell u, I got out of there so fast. I thought I could suck it up for one night but I just feel like I was gonna suffocate and will be eaten alive by God know what kind of bugs are around. Luckily I booked on expedia and I filed a complaint and I was refunded. Please read reviews for this hotel before booking.

The owners of the hotel had their personal laundry spread throughout the halls of the hotel, the bathrooms were torn out and unfinished. The staff was not helpful. Would not go back.

The property did not come as advertised. I was travelling with two dogs. The Expedia website said dogs were $15 per accommodation. When I checked in I was charged $20/dog. When I saw this on my bill, i questioned it and the man who gave me the bill said it was policy. I told him the website said $15 and he challenged me to show him. When I did he said he would fix it, and when he gave me back the bill he changed it to $30. I again questioned this as it said $15 per accommodation, not per dog, but he replied that was what he meant and stood firm on the $30. I told him he needed to change his description on Expedia and to his credit, within 30 minutes it read $20/dog per night. This was my most expensive stay during a 4 night trip across the USA from Maine to Montana and I would never have chosen this location if I knew how much extra would be charged for my pets. I would have taken a different route with different accomodation choices resulting in loss of business for the Fort Dodge area. Large nightly charges for people travelling with pets will deter many travellers.

They had one chair in the room and it was a recliner. The entire head area of the fake leather had worn away and was just the canvas underneath. The entire chair leaned precipitously to the right. It was gross and unusable.

Laundry and Curry
Over priced for the quality. The place stunk like curry powder throughout the entire hotel. After seeing a laundry bag in my room I asked the lady at the front desk about laundry services. She pointed to a set of coin operated washer and dryer. I explained I was looking for a laundry service as I did not have time with working 12 hour shifts. She told me it is $20. I figured that was fair until I had to go request my clothes just to get them halfway rolled into balls and stacked. I went later in the week to get more done and then she charged me $40 because it was two loads. That is ridiculous but I was at their mercy because of time. I wouldn't recommend them and I won't be staying with them again and probably not another Super 8.

Super 8 are a basic hotel. This one is very clean and everything was perfect to expectations. This is the second time we have stayed here and would recommend if you are looking for just the basics.
