Pretty typical older three star property. First of all though, the location is perfect and the price is reasonable for Cayenne where hotels are mostly overpriced.
The daytime staff were great, friendly and helpful. The night and weekend staff didn't want to be bothered. The staff should know, for example, the locations of restaurants that are open on Sunday. How do you expect guests to know? If we lived here we wouldn't be at your hotel. Very unhelpful in this category.
The wifi was fast when it was connected, but it disconnected often and you had to forget the network and re-add it each time this happened. They need a better system.
The rooms smell a bit musty, which is kind of typical of places in very humid areas when aircon isn't kept running all of the time. I don't think it is mold, though as I am allergic to mold and I didn't have any issues here. You get used to the smell after a day or two and don't notice it anymore. It isn't THAT bad.
Breakfast was pretty good, but don't pay more than 7.00 euro for it if it is not included.
The showers are too easy to switch from handset to overhead--you'll see what I mean. haha
Overall, I'd probably stay again, but if they get any competition in this price range they may have problems.
