After driving 14 hours just needed a place to crash. Found this one on Expedia. It was listed as a wonderful 9/10 lodge, saw a review about a strange smell in the room and thought someone was just sensitive but I have to validate their experience.
Don't let the 2 king beds lure you to this site. It's just two beds nothing more.
We were placed in the rivers landing building #2. Anyways the one bed felt like springs we're going to come through, the sink drain was stuck closed, and the window curtains were literally plastic shower curtains didn't feel very private in the room. We contemplated just going to another hotel and checking in but after the drive couldn't go another foot.
When you walk into the room you are smacked with a harsh chemical odor, we both got an instant headache and left the balcony door cracked to ventilate and slept on top of the blankets fully clothed and booked it as soon as we woke up.
The chair at the desk was broken and my wife about fell out of it, the TV's were waaay to small for the rooms and with the competition in the area something needs to change. The price point is ridiculous. $90 a night tops not $200..
Said something to the guy at the desk on checkout about the conditions and he shrugged it off like he's heard it before and don't care.
