It was a couple date for me. The room was awesome just that I stay near the lift. Quite noisy when there’s people talking loudly while going back to their room. Overall is still okay.

Hotel staff are friendly and considerate. Gave me a room nearest to the lift because I have a little inconvenience with my movement. Hotel staff called to check the purpose of my stay and give their outmost support to accomodate my request.

Very comfortable hotel
Room and amenities are really nice. Fast check-in process. Excellent house keeping service (I said one of the best I have had experienced, I am a frequent traveller). Hotel conveniently connected to all the fun stuff, restaurants, and shops at Genting. The only down side is that there were no map at the hotel, it was hard to figure out our way when we first got there.

Everything is inside the complex - no worry about eating there. In the morning the area will be surrounded by thick fog, don't need to be shocked and enjoy the moment of romantic.

Not a 5 star hotel
We impressed initially when we cheched in and went to massage room for relaxation however, I strongly recommned to hotel management seprate your hotel from the resturant next to lobby as a self service buffet which looks like a 2 star resturant with very very cheap food qualitu even not fresh bread or juice. Room was good but I guess main problem of the hotel was the food quality and mix the 5 star hotel with 2 star resturant

Room is bigger as compared to First World. Was grateful to be given earlier check in for 1 room. The other room was given to us around 6pm+ after checking with them 2 or 3 times. In the end 4 Adults cramp on a bed for that few hrs nap as we rch genting vry early.

Very good hotel to stay in
Counter staff is friendly and efficient, both in check in and out. I have experienced a problem in connecting the wifi and they sent a staff member immediately to my room and solved the problem. Actually, all the staff is friendly.

Check-in time delayed.
Comfortable stay, friendly staff however the check-in is usual very late. By right is 3pm, yet around 4+ after I enquired with them they are only able to provide me 1 of the room. (Booked a connecting room) Around 5pm after I made a call to reception then they confirmed the room is ready. Appreciated they sent a staff to pass us the key as we are exhausted.

Check-in service is good. Room was disappointing. Photos are deceiving as room is quite small. Bathroom was good size and clean. Stench from toilet (I note another review mentioned same thing). Otherwise staff were helpful, but some not well-informed and not trained properly.... we got mixed answers. Since Hotel seems to be busy always due to Casino etc., that extra service is missing for non-gamblers.

Genting points and car parking
The hotel should provide special car parking for the Grand Hotel guest instead of normal parking area and reserve a big parking area for jockey parking in front of the hotel and it is RM 20 per entry. It is because I booked my room with agent I cannot get Genting points for my stay.

Nice Hotel on top of mountain
We booked and paid for this hotel through Expedia 3 months before we arrived but when we tried to check they said they did not have our reservation. Not good when you have traveled over 12 hours from Australia and all you want is a hot shower and a bed to rest in. The staff said they could find us a room but we would have to pay for 1 night plus security deposit of over A$500.00 ,and that they would contact Expedia the next morning. They next morning the hotel confirmed our booking and that our money would be refunded but it would take about 3 weeks. Strange how they can debit your credit card and get instant payment but getting a refund is another story?. Have contacted Expedia and they confirmed that the hotel had miss placed the voucher.

Smoking smell in non smoking room
Genting grand looks exactly like the condition that was shown in the pictures. The room is big, clean and comfy. The service was good too. However, there is a big problem with the ventilation system. I requested and was given a non smoking room on a non smoking floor. Throughout my 2 days stay with my family, the aircon was circulating air with stench of cigarette smoke. My kids and my wife were affected by the smell and could not have a good rest. The entire hotel is also filled with patrons lighting up cigarettes even in the lift. However, the hotel does not seems to exercise control over this. Overall, I must say it is a good hotel physically apart from the cigarette smell.

One of the better hotels in Genting
Checking in was a little delayed as they could not find my booking. However staff are all very friendly and helpful. Various F&B options around and you would be spoilt for choice. One of the better hotels in Genting and I will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful room, prompt service, no check-in chaos
Check-in was very quick and prompt. Room was upgraded to a larger room albeit on a smoking floor. To be honest I think the complaints about the rooms in Genting smelling like smoke are either exaggerated or apply to the lower end hotels. I couldn't smell any smoke and the room was lovely. Buffet breakfast has many choices. Some of the selections like the omelette and scrambled eggs were a little bland but nothing some salt cannot fix. The dessert counter was being upgraded but I don't like dessert so it doesn't matter to me. You can sit outdoors to enjoy the cool air or the view if the weather permits.There's a spa and gym also on the ground floor. The gym is very large and well equipped even by 5 star hotel standards and again if weather permits you can get a wonderful view of the low lying scenery. If I go to Genting again, I'll definitely stay in this hotel. Its not as crowded or chaotic as the other hotels and the casino at this hotel has a non smoking section which is perfect for non-smokers like me.

Games and theme park location
Great for a short stay to enjoy the theme park. The price of everything, food etc has a premium attached to it but you would expect that in any theme park. The signage could be better to the theme park from our hotel, as we spent some time walking in circles. We had our 7 year old with us, and he had to share our king bed with us. Not very comfortable at all!!! However staff were very friendly but could be more accommodating.
