Very new and clean
I was happy to stay here after a long flight. Especially room was very clean and new. I just mind a little bit without window. there was a left so easy to carry my heavy bags. next to hotel there is a huge food market outdoors. various food experience. I love that place a lot even though hot and humid. The hotel is not in the central George town. but easy to get to George Town by CAT free bus.

깔끔하지만 방음이 안되는 숙소!
숙소는 새로 지었는지 전체적으로 깨끗하고 엘리베이터도 있다. 패밀리룸을 사용하였는데 방크기는 조금 작았다. 욕실도 깔끔하고 침구도 깔끔하였다. 냉장고가 없어 조금 불편했다. 에어컨도 좋았다. 다른 부분은 모두 좋았다. 하지만 방음이 전혀 안되어서 방문 바로 밖의 소리가 다 들린다. 자는 도중에 시끄러운 소리에 잠에서 깨기도 하였다.

Generally the place was so-so. The staff at the reception was grumpy when we checked in. The good thing about it is that it was right next to the eating area along McCalister road, so it was convenient to eat

Good location with food around
No widows. When I sleep on the pillow I smelled stale smoker's odour coming out from the pillow. Good location where many types of food are available just next door. Friendly and helpful front desk guy.

Room was rather small and had no window. Hard to move around. There was no bench or platform to put our two baggage. My Wife put her baggage on the single chair provided. I put mine on the floor. Imagine the discomfort I endured squatting down opening and closing my baggage. I am s senior citizen at 70.

Budget hotel in Penang
Hotel was very well located being surrounded by restaurants and foodstalls. Quiteclose to Komtar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel itself was quite basic but clean and well serviced, Included a kettle with coffee making facilities. TV channels were limited and mainly in local languages.

Excellent location.
New hotel with excellent location.Next to lotsa famous street food right outside the hotel and next to a 24 hours mart. Room was not big but it's clean and tidy. Definitely worth the price.

In a city center, a lot of street food, komtar
Strategic location ,near many street hawkers. Just few minutes walk Komtar, Prangin Mall and 1st Avenue. The staffs are very polite and helpfull. Room is clean though not really big but air con is not so cool during the day.

Budget hotel with clean room
The place is strategic to KOMTAR & 1st Avenue, however it kinda far to the tourist spot at Georgetown Furthermore, there doesn't provide free parking, therefore, getting a parking is quite tough. Overall is a good stay.

Just my opinion
Can seriously consider to change the flooring tiles at Lobby side exit as I find the slope slippery. It's one of my favourite hotel.

Good stay at 118 Hotel Macallister Penang.
Very clean with friendly and helpful receptionists. Good value for the price. Next to new lane hawker food. Everything in Georgetown is between walking distance if you can take the heat. Will stay again on next visit.

Nice budget hotel near food
My room is triple with a double and single bed. Overall the size of the room is decent, with some walking space, ideal for resting at night. May nt be able to contain larger suitcases. The facilities are basic, with one shower/shampoo dispenser. Toothbrush n toothpaste nt provided. So if you are particular abt toiletries, do bring ur own. Limited hangers for clothing and they are secured to the shelf. Note that there are no shelf in the shower area to put toiletries. There is a metal shelf outside the shower area for u to hang clothing/towel. Only one roll of toilet roll provided per day. House keeping service is only available when requested by putting the sign outside the door. The receptionist will remind when checking in. Complimentary bottled water and coffee packets are given. One down side is aircon is leaking. Management may want to fix it. Also there are no safe provided. There is only one room access card issued.

Lack of facilities
Overall was good but a room for 4 person only got 2 plugs to use. Insufficient for charging phone. Air conditioner not that cold. Don't have fridge.

really liked the room. service was great too. only minor disappointment was that it didn't have a mini fridge coz with the hot weather, it would have been great to be able to put in some water to chill.

The hotel is in good location that only thing I like. I can't believe the hotel didn't provide phone to call out or front desk. No refrigerator in our Luxury family suit room and the worst thing u can hear the noise from outside and next room in hotel. It cost 200 ringgit a night for luxury family suit that is unworthy.

Great location, still very new and we'll kept. A little noise facing the street but not that bad if you are out most of the day and doze of easily from tiredness. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

No room windows so received recirculating air from wall unit aircon. Lack of chairs to sit down. No drawers for clothes. Room very small though bed was clean and sizeable as a double. Bathroom size for 1 person clean. not roomy to move with 2 persons. 2-3 day stay OK but not for longer. No parking avaliable. 24/7 store next door.
