Honestly, their concept of using historic buildings as inns is fantastic and very quaint. The restaurant is amazing, and the complimentary breakfast is well done. Great staff too and wonderful location. Absolutely stunning area. Conversely, I would say there is a difference between "antique chic" and "antique tired." The decor needs a bit of updating, and the window air conditioner in the Wheat Room is not adequate to cool the space when it is full sun and warm outside. The seating area outside our house was overgrown with weeds and in dire need of some cleaning and refinishing. Lovely place but could use some attention to make it inviting for guests. Also, after viewing the restaurant's menu online, I found that they offered a vegetarian option for dinner which is why I chose it. When I arrived it was not on the menu nor was it available. I was asked when I made the dinner reservation if I had any dietary restrictions, but I didn't specify any given that the menu offered me an option. Not one vegetarian entree so beware if you follow a plant based diet.
