A somewhat tired hotel (who puts light coloured carpets in a busy public area that badly need cleaning)? A great location and a good sleep however before a business meeting in the hotel... shocked to have to pay an extra £15 for a very average breakfast....No advance warning!!

Was okay, but the bath advertised in the pictures for the superior room wasn’t the one we got, also cigarette smoke kept coming down the hallway into our room from the main door

Pleasant stay
Nice hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Great view from the bar terrac but motorway is noisy. Restaurant relatively slow both at dinner and breakfast. Not impressed with a la carte dinner (food quality and value for money).

Booked an Executive Room, very disappointed, had to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs, room 39 clean but dated, bathroom desperately needs attention / refit. Hot water tap didn't work, the Loo flushing was 'unique'and the Shower was great if you are under 4ft tall! But Dinner was good, view amazing and the few staff I spoke with very pleasant. No one on Reception when I left to discuss this with as not manned till 8am

Very nice hotel, a little tired in places, nice early morning wake up by cleaners getting into the cleaning cupboard and getting ready. Comfy bed and pillows.

Great all rounder
Very good overall. Just a few small gripes that would make it perfect - plug sockets by the bed in annexe were odd, fitted the lamps which had round pins on the plugs but not a normal UK phone charger. Water too hot in sink tap and not a mixer, so either washed hands in cold water or burnt them. One tap moving around a lot and needs tightening up. Evening meal a little expensive, but excellent service and good choice. Plentiful breakfast. Much better than another similar hotel in the area. Comfortable room and clean bathroom. Will definitely stay again.

lovely hotel, very cold rooms
Hotel very nice bery friendly staff, food was lovely only issue was the rooms were freezing on a different level of coldness

All the staff were really pleasant and very helpful , I could not fault them in anyway. The bar area was cosy with a log fire, very nice to see at the end of a long journey. Restaurant food was fine but I felt the portion size was a little on the small size and I am not an overeater.

Bed not very comfortable. Water pressure in bathroom was not consistent sometimes the water took 30 seconds to come through after the tap was turned on. No lift in a 3 story building, staff didn’t offer to help with bags

Lovely place, quiet area, lovely widespread views and friendly staff with comfortable surroundings. A little dated in places but within keeping of the buildings. Overall a great experience.

Not a 4 Star hotel
Nice location with a decent view. Some of the rooms are outdated and could use a lift up. Apparently "because of covid"rooms are only cleaned upon request which we weren't told when checking in, so when asked on the second day we were told is a policy and is just the way it is. It is interesting to see business taking advantage of rules that were in place due to a an exceptional situation and not reverting back to the way things work better for customers
