Spacious little cottage great for a family stay
Lovely host and very spacious accommodation which is a nice change from a hotel room. Quiet area and close to town. Very clean, warm and cosy decor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was an amazing stay at Ballarat Tranquility Cottages.Decor was outstanding,impeccable in cleanliness, charming & very relaxing.Lovely garden surrounds & everything you could wish for inside.Friendly owner who made time for a relaxing massage after a busy days travel.We recommend to everyone traveling to Ballarat to stay here,as this is truly is one of the best B & Bs we have ever stayed in & look forward to our next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. Breakfast provided, massage chair, aviary, Netflix. A lot of space for our family of 6. A very clean house, no dust in sight! Would highly recommend staying here :-)

A warm and cosy “Gingerbread” house
This was just the best find ever. Ornately decorated (not the steal and glass look), with gas fire, comfy chairs, full kitchen, courtyard with BBQ and lots of towels on the beds. WiF and Netflix included. The owner left us a continental breakfast for the first morning, but best of all was the smell of fresh baked bread as we opened the door. Yes a full loaf was sitting in the breadmaker and butter in the fridge. Would not bother booking anywhere else.

Lovely to walk into with the smell of fresh bread cooking and the place was warm. A very cosy retreat in a quiet part of Ballarat. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Don’t get me wrong, toast, muffins, eggs, apple juice, were supplied but I don’t drink apple juice. I like to have cereal and orange juice with toast. I could not get water to boil on the hot plates on the microwave oven to cook the eggs, hence I had a very light breakfast. I did feel the grouting in the shower needed a clean. It was still a lovely place to stay and I felt very secure.

We send a message daily to see if there is anything you need. The hotplates require the underneath microwave on. A phone call and we would have told you or been straight over, as I was with another toaster when you thought the toaster didn't work, but was just not plugged in.

Relaxing stay
Jenny was a good host , provided many options for breakfast, home made bread, crumpets, cereal, place was clean and inviting although we weren't able to access Netflix. Massage chair was relaxing in the lounge room with the comfort of a fireplace.

It was a charming cottage. For the same price as a 'regular' motel room I get space, outdoor areas, full kitchen and regularly furnished house. It has two bedrooms so it would sleep two couples of a family quite readily.

All you need to relax
Our son loved the spa/shower. Only a few minutes to the Ballarat Centre, right opposite a georgious park.

Beautiful ambiance and very lovely hosts. The heater and lights were on for us and a fresh warm loaf of bread in the bread maker! The aqua massage is a must for all visitors. Definitely the place to stay when visiting Ballarat.

A Gem.
Very comfortable unit, with ample parking. Breakfast provided was substantial, with bread maker providing fresh bread. Nice touch. A very comfortable stay.

Old world charm but a bit dated
We were happy to stay there but the massage chair with its large "feet" took up too much room in the lounge and the layout of the single living space meant each section of it was a bit "crowded"

Retro and loved it!
It was freezing cold and could have picked a better place! Gas fire, massage chair, spa and sauna.. highly recommend.. this place is actually really unique and pretty cool!

Very relaxed and quiet opposite good parkland
We enjoyed our stay at tranquility and found the location very relaxing and peaceful. Being opposite Vic Park provided us with many hours of walking and Lake Wendoree is also very easy walking distance. Owner, Jennifer, was easily accessible if required..not that we needed to. Well recommended for relaxed quiet get away

Beautiful quite relaxing Place.
We where in a beautiful Cottage with Red Velvet furniture, a massage chair in the lounge room, very good massage too. Then we had a sauna and spa in our room as well as a vibrating bed in the master bedroom It was a most relaxing experience.

Convenient for Sovereign Hill and the city
Quiet and homely. Dog friendly with parklands opposite. It was a lovely touch to have bread baking in the bread maker when we arrived and it was delicious.

nice way to relax and great management

Nice escape from world outside. Lovely smell of fresh bread cooking on arrival. Staff bent over backwards to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed. Not modern but very homely and comfortable.

Nice quiet place, very relaxing with everything
The moment we arrived and opened the door to the smell of fresh bread cooking, after unpacking car the next thing we did was have a massage in the massage chair to unwind absolutely awesome. Then met the host Jenny who couldn't do enough for us and felt as though nothing was to much trouble, that night I had a spa which was so relaxing, the gas log fire was definitely enough to keep you warm and cosy on the cold nights would recommend to anyone hard to beat.
