Good value and under 10 min drive to city. Perfect place for cheaper accommodation with plenty of room for the kids to run around.

The cabins were really dated. Second night the temperature was around 36-38 and we ended up sleeping on the floor in the kitchen/lounge as that was the only room in the cabin which was cool and where we could plug in the pedestal fan. This was the only accomodation which didn’t have AC in the cabin/cottage and also the only one that didn’t provide hand wash, body wash and shampoo. Putting the TV right above the cooking hob was ridiculous. The bedroom window didn’t have a fly screen so a huge security risk and couldn’t be left open at night for ventilation. Bedroom was so small that double bed was inaccessible from 3 sides. Extremely dated interiors. Pipes make a noise each time you turn them on. They mention playground and pond which are just namesake and ornamental only. To sum it up would never recommend this property to anyone

Cabins are private, whilst old, are well maintained and set within very secure grounds. Easy access to Hobart and Mona, also easy to return to the north of the state. I was able to have my dog with me also, a welcome relief.

Good location, the property is well located and it's 10 mins from Hobart CBD. I feel the cabin is too small and the cooking facility (pans) is too old. Owner may need to purchase some new ones.

Positives and Negatives
Positives - nice and secure, property was fully fenced with a pin coded gate to enter the property. Was easy to get to and nice and close to Derwent Entertainment Centre (reason we were there). A portacot was provided free of charge for my bub. Negatives - Cabin we stayed in could have been cleaner, there was dust all around the window sills, toilet roll holder etc. Beds on the bunks weren’t made - we had to make them ourselves. Only one face washer supplied even though we indicated five people staying. Shampoo/Conditioner not supplied so make sure you bring your own. No spare bedding, two of us got cold through the night. Our biggest issue was the hot water... Only one of us got to have a full shower both mornings we were there, the hot water ran out half way through the second persons shower both times. Could not notify staff as there was no one at reception at checkin, check out or during our entire stay.

Thank you for your feedback. There are doonas and a spare blanket per bed. Also electric blankets on double beds. There is a 160litre hot water cylinder so you should not have run out of hot water. We are always available day and night for any issues. We are ALWAYS contactable by phone, this is stated in our compendium in each room. We were here during your stay, we were cleaning rooms at the time you checked out and we did close the office on Good Friday afternoon and called all of our guests to make sure they had the late arrival letter for check ins.

good location and comfortable. Got to see some bunnies hanging around in dawn. The toilet was a little bit old but it was still in good condition. I like that the kitchen table was big enough so that i could cook there. Best if it's equipped with oven.

Very good location, lovely little park. The cabin was neat, but there was no aircon. Fully self contained, everything you need. Didn't have a good night sleep as the matress was extremely hard and lumpy.

We are sorry you were so uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we do not have air cons, but we also do not advertise that we do. We have had some very hot weather lately. If you had come to us we could have given you extra fans for the room. Also, if your bed was too hard for you, we could also have given you a mattress topper to help with this as well. I suggest that if you have any issues at all with your accommodation wherever you stay, you should go to the staff at reception as they will always do what they can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible

Clean and tidy
Check in was easy. The lady was very friendly and gave me a lot of information and maps that I needed (thanks). We had a hire car to get around, it takes about 15 minutes to get into the city, easy drive in and out of the city. I would not choose this location if you don't have a car. The room was clean and tidy.

Too noisy need maintenance
Cabins too close together, parking almost impossible, lots of maintenance needs to be done, the shower sprayed the ceiling, doors didn't open properly, general attention to detail not done. Very hard to get to you can see it from the main road but have to go on a wild goose chase to actually get there. Dogs are allowed here and they barked all night

We advertise that we are pet friendly and we frequently check outside for noise from guests or dogs barking and attend to this if it is a problem. There are neighbouring dogs that unfortunately we do not have control of. It can be difficult to find us due to google maps not being accurate but we send out a letter to all guests with their confirmation giving clear instructions on how to get here. We also have feedback forms in the cabins so that guests can advise us of any issues so that we can attend to them. It would have been more appropriate to have filled these out or let us know directly at the office and we could have attended to these problems immediately.

Basic facilities, no food outlets anywhere nearby (i.e. walking distance). Washing & ironing facilities not very clean.
