It’s not a bad place for a night or two while hunting or fishing type thing, the room was clean and warm. However the lights were inconvenient, one bulb in the hallway and an old desk lamp. The flashing light on the phone was horribly bright and the wifi went down for one day. For a few dollars investment in a touch of modernization it would be a solid 3 star place. As is it’s a 2 1/2 star.

Flushing the toilet was extremely loud like a banging in the wall would happen every time. The AC was extremely loud too when the room was really hot. The lady at the front was very nice.

I like being able to park in front of my room and having plugin for vehicles available. The one annoying thing is the heating/ac unit temperature control doesn't work. If you set the temp and leave the unit on eco heat the room temp keeps increasing to uncomfortable levels, and if you set the temp and put the unit in a/c the temp continues to cool to uncomfortable cool temps.

I wasn't happy with the hotel as it wasn't what was shown in the pictures. There were no pictures for the outside of the hotel so you didn't know that it was a very old building. The lot wasn't plowed so you had to plow through the snow to get to your room. The bathroom door was coming off it's hinge and the tiles were missing grout. This is more a place for rig workers to stay. The lady at the desk didn't seem to be worried that it wasn't what was advertized. They also did a double pre authorization for the full price of the rooms (we had two) together. So instead of only pre authorizing the price of each room seperately, they did the full price of both rooms twice which I've never had before. I'm still waiting to see if it will come off my credit card. Overall I was very disatisfied with the hotel. I would never recommend it to anyone.

The sheets and the blanket on one of the beds had obvious large staining. Seems like a simple fix. The heater was louder than it could have been.

Did not honour rate booked
Booked through hotels-rate for double room was the same for 1 person or 2 but upon check out the rate was more than through the site. When questioning the lady at the front she said well it’s because you had more than 1 person in the room-checked the hotels site at the rate for a room for 1 person or 2 next weekend and the rate did not change. Normally I do not complain but this upset me so will also add we had another couple guys with us(not booked through hotels) and when we went with their room upon arrival it had a lot of flys in it and a beeping fire alarm-the fix was to remove the fire alarm whole. Hotel seems pretty greedy! Will likely not go back.

it is a renovated old motel. it smells musty and sewer. the cooling /heating system is loud. it's in between two main highways so noise from both can be heard especially when truckers use their jake brakes to slow down.

There were little stones on the rug inside the room.The bed on the inside wall was not level. Mattress was on a slant. Had a terrible sleep. The other bed was even softer. We prefer semi-firm beds. I would hope the other building would be in better condition. Would not recommend this older building because of the beds.

Good breakfast, rough condition
The breakfast is the best part, which was really quite good. The heat worked well in the room, which Waldo good. The service at the front desk was also pleasant. The condition of the room; not so much. The bed spreads were dirty, the tap at the bathroom sink wasn’t attached and you had to hold it in place while using it. The lights were just bare lightbulbs on the ceiling. Very rustic.

Ckean no frills motel
This is a no frills place. They are completing renovations and working hard to complete it before winter. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great and ciffe was really good. The place was clean and accommodating. Only complaint was traffic noise through the night as I am a light sleeper.

The hotel is being renovated at the moment. From the outside, it seemed, as if the hotel is not operational. Entering the room, there was a lots of dirt on the floor, the heating had been turned off and in winter conditions, it is not fun to arrive in a cold and humid hotel room.

Sorry for the dark exterior of the motel, renovations have meant that the outside lights have been removed and are being replaced. Just about done!! With the renovations, some of the heaters missed getting turned back on, problem has been fixed now but sorry for the cold room. There should not have been dirt on the floor. Our new housekeeping supervisor has been notified regarding this error. Thank you for letting us know the problems that you encountered so we can rectify them.

Well restored old style" motor inn" with large lawn and forecourt with lighted gates. Very clean. Breakfast was good. The water in the town doesn't make for good coffee unfortunately.

As the hotel is under construction and you have to check in at the other hotel the entrance to the parking lot is not lit up and hard to find in the dark

Only needed it for the night as I was travelling to GP.....it was a pleasant surprise. The outside of Horizon 2 is deceiving. It was dark and a little ominous (I arrived at night), but the room was excellent with new fixtures. It was very large, bright, and clean.
