Nice outdoor pool, indoor pool was unable to swim in the indoor pool due to it not been heated. Room was clean & tidy but due for some refurbishment along with the rest of the resort, overall pleasant stay but would not return unless the resort was refurbished

It was a lovely place to stay - very family friendly. Lovely pool and amenities. Apartment was great but needed to be cleaned.

Amazing place-great location, amenities and apartment! The apartment had all the things needed, fantastic views, beds were comfortable. The kids definitely enjoyed the pools, especially the kiddies pool was heated! Would definitely stay here again!

Property nicely located. Big outdoor pool area for the kids, tennis court. WiFi is only available in the public areas of the property and not in the rooms

The apartment we stayed in was spacious and well appointed. Floors could do with a steam clean and wifi and Foxtel in the room wouldn't go astray.

Great pool but it wasn’t heated at all which was cold for our kids. Size of the 3 bedroom apartment on level 3 was excellent.

Staff were friendly and accommodated any requests. Checkout was at 11am and we were able to continue to use all facilities as long as we liked! 3 bedroom apartments are very spacious with great views of resort and beach.

The room was not cleaned throughout our stay there. The beds were advertised as queen - I’m pretty sure they were double. No room service. Aircon was not working properly in the living. Second bedroom has no aircon.

The pool was excellent with plenty of seating. Our garden view room on the third floor had a partial ocean view which was a bonus. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and had everything you could need. The bathrooms were modern, but the rest of the apartment needs renovation. The walls were dirty and the ceiling had holes and cracks in the kitchen and hallway.

The apartment was clean and comfortable for our family and after a day of outdoor activities it was great that the kids and parents was relax separately with each bedroom as well as the lounge having televisions. Having the use of laundry facilities in the apartment was great as well. The location was close enough to the restaurants for a lovely walk before and after meals.

Great family friendly accommodation
Great location across from the beach and a short walk to town. Clean spacious rooms. We particularly enjoyed the pool, bbq and kids play area. Only suggestion would be that we have our room cleaned during our four night stay.

Tired hotel in quiet location
Overall I was disappointed with our stay at the On Shore Torquay given the hotel rating and price of accommodation. 1. Maybe I didn’t read the fine print in the advertisements but I did not realise that On Shore was actually the 3rd level of the Wyndham Hotel, not a stand-alone resort. The implication of this was that instead of sharing the recreation facilities with 16 other apartments, the facilities needed to stretch to service the hotel clientele as well. 2. Cleanliness of the hotel in general (corridors/ lifts) and our apartment was not great. In our apartment the glass was dirty inside and out, some of the blinds were ripped, carpet was not thoroughly vacuumed - I needed to clean stains off the kitchen benches and vacuum the carpet before settling in. 3. WiFi?? The ads stated the hotel provided free WiFi but they didn’t add that it was only accessible in public areas around the resort - not in the rooms. Not really acceptable for 2018! 4. Verandah/patio Our apartment opened onto a long verandah but surprisingly the verandah was surfaced with loose fine gravel which was neither practical or comfortable to walk on and carried into the apartment every time someone ventured outside. 5. Disappointingly there was no coffee shop/ kiosk on site. Overall I think this resort has great potential but seems to have lost its way.

Great pool
Good apartment which was extremely spacious. Was unhappy however that blind in lounge was broken therefore other guests could see us on the couch day and night. Kitchen equipment was stained and dirty so was the couch pillows. Very disappointing that the cafe was closed during the busiest time of the year which makes no sense at all! Over all - good experience with great pool and underground parking.

Location isn’t the greatest
Quite a long walk to any eating establishment as the restaurant had closed down. Our aircon in the bedroom made quite a lot of noise and the bed was so low to the ground that you would bruise your shins trying to get into bed. The room was fine however smelled like it hadn’t been aired for weeks. The beach was across the road which made staying so far out of town easier to deal with.

Funny story!
Stayed at the hotel for 3 days... the staff were excellent & very accomodating. When we checked into our room as you do you lay on the bed & open the cupboards to see what’s been provided. Well... some poor girl must have left in a hurry as there was a bra in the bathroom cupboard which didn’t faze us as I’ve probably done the same thing... that’s night getting ready for bed (by the way most comfortable bed & pillows) there was a GIANT spider on the wall!! Luckily being female I had my trusty hairspray & as it fell on the floor well you know how the rest goes ;) Overall great facilities & beach across the road I will definetly be staying there again.

First time in Torquay
Very nice place to stay! Next time I would stay in one of the hotels rooms though (not a private owned apartment). Pools were awesome, customer service was delightful and very helpful, area great for walks and so close to the beach! Day spa at resort was great. Good, secure parking and easy access to lifts. Close to shops and restaurants.

lovely spot next to the beach and lovely staff
The staff at Onshore was lovely and very happy to help. The room itself was amazing and the comfort of the bed was the best I have ever been in; just like at home.

Luxury with a view
We only stayed for the weekend, but we are so glad we did, if this isn't a 5 star hotel then it should be, only negative thing to say- it would have been more convenient if the restaurant was open, or if there was some sort of food to offer.

Average for the price.
It was the little things that were missing. No foxtel no Wi-Fi in the apartments. No shower caps or sanitary bags. However access to the beach was amazing.

Strange, it doesn't really exist.
This hotel isn't there! The Wyndham hotel is there, this one is a con job to rent private aparememts that have no services. Our room was decorated by the owner the furniture was large and little room to move around. Yes we had turn sideways to make it around the bed

Convenient for my brothers wedding.
Attended a family wedding at the venue also, which was absolutely fantastic. Great food, service & venue. Disappointed there is no bar facilities available at all for hotel guests, at any time. Not happy security jumped on our room prior to midnight. We had a baby with us which was very distressed, no music going, there were only six of us in the room talking, including the groom while I the Aunty tried to calm my Nephew of 11mths. Apparently this is normal security behaviour of being fun spoilers. Also had problems with booking, & lack of communication with bookin staff cost me extra for another room which should not have occurred. I received a small monetary compensation. Should have been reimbursed in full. thanks to Hotels.com I did receive further compensation. I'm 50/50 on recommending to others. When you have a big family that resides at Torquay many people are often looking for accommodation for functions.

Needs some maintenance
This hotel needs some general overall maintenance, but especially the outdoor pool. Our air-conditioner wasn't working, and when hotel staff came to check it, it was full of dust and hadn't been cleaned in a long time! For the amount we paid a night I was very surprised you had to pay extra to hire the tennis balls and rackets! Wouldn't stay here again.

Very underwhelming
I paid a premium price for the room so expected a decent level of comfort, what I got was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever experienced, to the point that we left our holiday two days early to get a decent sleep! Barbecue was dirty from the last person and unusable. No foxtel or television in main bedroom, which every hotel of similar quality offers...

Lovely sea views, opposite the beach
We had a lovely stay for a few days away to recharge ... a very peaceful and quiet, nice mid-Winter escape for my husband and I. Our apartment (325) was lovely ... privately owned, but managed by Wyndham Resort, giving access to all of their facilities and a warm welcome by their staff (Thanks Brad!). We had magnificent sea views from our living room and bedroom windows ... so much so, that we were happy to spend much of our time just looking out the window and soaking in the gorgeous view. We were enchanted to see a beautiful rainbow that stretched right out onto the water and lasted for ages ... it was extremely relaxing!!

close to everything you want for relaxing get-away
Stayed here for 3 nights but was very untimely for swimming in the beach as the weather was wet/raining-storm. We had 1-bedroom apartment and had everything we need. If the it was only sunny and hot, this place is perfect as it is so close for strolling along the beach, in a very ideal setting. We were given a room on the 3rd floor with garden view which is nice and appealing atmosphere. Checking in-out was quick and easy as the staff seems to knew our arrival and pretty organised, very attentive and helpful. The room suits for a couple, standard size but cozy. This is not a cheap place for the price we paid; though there's a free wi-fi in the lobby, if you want internet in your own bedroom, it's additional cost.

Overall pretty good.
Only issue I have was the cleanliness of the shower. Has visible mould in recesses. otherwise it was lovely. Restaurant / food / staff pricing was first class.

it was a fantastic holiday but the price is expensive as the facilities is limited, one tennis court only and the indoor swimming is not enjoyable as you have to keep silent for the spa guest need relaxation and you can't enjoy playing or swimming

Great Location
The resort was fantastic, great location, only metres from the Beach where the kids could swim and play with plenty of room. Resort facilities were excellent and the room we stayed in was very spacious. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay there again and recommend the resort to friends or family.

Overall great time. Pool very busy with lots of kids and not enough lounge chairs (especially this time of year). Food very nice. Staff friendly. Very expensive though for self-contained apartment.
