An unexpected delight.
I arrived late & was advised to eat straightaway as kitchen was closing in 40 minutes. I had a delicious and substatial meal with some excellent real ale. The room itself was impressive and comfortable. I can fully recommend the full Scottish breakfast as a terrific way to start the day. EveryoneI encountered were efficient and extremely friendly.

Beautiful property set in lovely grounds. Very clean and rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. Staff were brilliant with a personal touch. Breakfast cooked fresh no waiting at machines for toast.

I’m sorry you were disappointed with your booking, Annette. Your guest didn’t actually stay. You booked at 20:34 when our latest check-in is 21:00. We kept reception open until midnight when you advised that your guest wouldn’t arrive until 22:30 and then after 23:00. We tried to contact the phone number given with no response.You prepaid via Hotels.com and we are unable to initiate a refund from our end. We are more than happy that you secure a refund from Hotels.com without us seeking any charges.

I absolutely loved this place. The photos shown here are lovely, but don’t even do it justice- for me it was even better in person! The staff are very friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the dining rooms are so lovely, and the food was delicious!! The guest room was really spacious, the bathroom was like heaven!! (Deep soaker tub, separate shower, etc. all modern). I can’t rave enough about this place - I can’t wait to return one day! There’s al so a pub on-site - we were travelling with a little one so we didn’t go to the pub, but I’m sure it’s as great as the rest of the property!

Absolutely charming rooms, full bath with massive tub, comfortable bed, quiet, peaceful, serene, romantic...with a restaurant and chef that were superb - and a very very friendly and accommodating staff

Staff and customer service was brilliant. They were very engaging, friendly and supportive. Food was delicious and great value for money. Location and building stunning. Lots of walking and running routes locally.

What a great property! A beautiful country escape. Great food (and drink, especially in the charming Stable Bar), great staff, and great grounds. Highly recommended.

Great last minute booking as we drove south from Inverness. Arrived late but great cheerful service from reception and in the Stable bar for an evening meal.

the room was a bit small but clean. No fridge, an ancient tv, no fan . The breakfast was terrible, anaemic toast, overcooked bacon etc...the same in the restaurant. Menu choices like take away and poor quality cooking, if they used simple fresh ingredients and tweaked the presentation and trained the waiting staff then it would be a popular place.

A hidden Gem. This lovely country house hotel is amazing. We just found is accidentally when trying to book a last min getaway to see the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel on a bank holiday weekend. Excellent value for money. Tucked away in a tranquil small village. The rooms are large and refurbished to highest standards. Staff were attentive and courteous. We brought a picnic and had it in the beautiful back garden. Room was spotless and warm. Excellent Scottish breakfast. Shout out to Claire who checked us in. There is a lovely stable bar outside with wood fire to chill at night. Definitely will come back in the summer.
