The hotel was nice and comfortable, if a bit tired with regards to decor in our room, and changing rooms etc. Staff were very nice and friendly.
Although we don't play golf the surrounding grounds were lovely.
My girls spent many hours in the nice pool, and I charged my EV for free, which was a welcome bonus.
At around £400 for 2 nights I was a little surprised at the need to tidy up the decor etc.
The one thing that really let did disappoint, sadly was the food on our first night.
We arrived tired and hungry, and i thought I'd treat the girls to dinner in the bar.
3 main courses, 1 glass of wine and 2 soft drinks was over £75, and for this I would expect a very high standard of food.
My daughters fish and chips was nice enough. My cesar salad with chicken was very basic and bearly acceptable, but my other daughters ploughman's was extremely disappointing. It arrived on a tiny plate and was little more than a small slice of ham and a couple of pieces of cheddar. It looked rather dried up, as if it had been sitting around for quite some time.
How this came to over £75, I dont know.
